  Hi, I have just bought a very similar product like this. When I opened the box, there were two plates, like your video, but I don't know the purpose of the bigger plate, also the purpose of the external box where you can install 8 big batteries. In your video you only tested the small plate. I will appreciate a lot if you can help me with these doubts. Thanks.

(thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

  LOL .. if I lost a spade or pot lid as big as the test items you use to show that the detector can locate metal I would be better off just using my eyes.
