    I used this technique in street self-defense and broke my opponent's arm. But I'm more used to taking a step back when attacking.

    The guard passes shown are good, but the sweep is very impractical to use nowadays.

    The guy dressed in white needs to drop his whole body like a dead weight and wrap his legs around the opponents legs whilst still having hold of the right hand, pull him down and force his own arm into his throat whilst grabbing him around the back of the head and squeezing him into the warmth of your chest.

  • @perrynorman9081

    Mua tie grip and bring the knee right up into his face. Then you can still sweep the right leg whilst still having hold of his right arm then pin him down pressing your right knee on his windpipe and breaking his wrist in front of him

    I hope you have learned your error in this technique, if not here it is, when they pick you up your leg wraps from the OUTSIDE not the inside as you demonstrated here. Also the hips are where the leverage is I weigh 250 and have had a 125 lbs woman pick me up like this with proper technique.

    Speaking of police, what about if they have to apply the lock to the offender first, or you had to- say you were trying to do it protect someone else who was being attacked? Are there videos showing how they do that?

    Not much for that technique; even with proper leverage small has a hard time with big. I use the same step behind to a 3 count hammer fist to the groin and duck / shuck to the back.

  • @adityasikdar
    @adityasikdar5 жыл бұрын

    +Larry Campeau Yeah, good luck with that. When I'll be putting you in this lock, I won't be doing it nice & slow, as seen in this video demonstration... I'll be fast, forceful & violent, leaning on your shoulder, putting my body-weight on it, & pushing you down to the ground. You'll barely have a chance to blink, so you can forget about trying to punch me. There's a good reason, why this technique has been declared illegal in competitions.

    this standing armlock is quite dangerous in judo competition. Given it being legal under certain conditions, a judo guy can just use it to break the other guy's arm or seriously hurt it to the point of unbearable pain. Still a very effective move for self defence too :D .
