    Small caps, 90 % make a profit which is reinvested back into the company. In theory the shares should increase in value.

    Strong BUY. Still early innings. NVIDIA is the dominant leader in AI and the preferred technology partner globally. Even w new competition on the horizon, NVIDIA is far ahead of the competition. 85% market share. 76% margin. Unrivaled demand for new Blackwell chip. Demand far exceeds production for Blackwell through to 2025 and beyond. No competitor has anything close to Blackwell. And forward P/E is about 33 (cheap for a high growth stock). Buy this stock and wait. You will be rewarded.

    This is Interesting because i bought NVIDIA around September last year. The company is selling shovels in a gold rush. It accounted for almost 80% of my market return last year, and I'm sure this year will present other interesting stocks.

    When it comes to investment, diversification is key. That is why I have my interests set on key sectors based on performance and projected growth. They range from the EV sector, renewable energy, Tech and Health (AMD) alongside coins, and gold. I'm also working on an investment plan that includes AI looking into Nvidia, MSFT, Alphabet stocks among others with my Fin. Advisor, . It's been a year and half of steady growth with over $700k in profit.

    Chris, I think you missed a few vital points 1) time/effort costs, I find with investment properties you need to find time and effort in managing them, even if you have a good property manager, they are only the middle person and ultimately it is you making all the decisions which cost a lot of time and effort 2) you cannot average up or down with property, it’s 100% commitment in an instant, which to me seems to be risky …..

    Thanks for the informative video. I am a staunch believer in investing in shares as well. One thing in your video is that you refer to negative gearing as not being available for share investing, when in fact there is that opportunity if you are using borrowed money.

Also not holding that much (example DigitalX holds 114 btc but twice as much alts!). Time will tell how VanEck ETF vbtc turns out on ASX🤔

    Thanks for the summary I was very confused about GXLD as it's from the same provider as GOLD but lower fees and seems essentially the same. Would the drawbacks like bid/ask spread disappear once they grow in popularity and AUM? Would you favour GXLD in future once it grows over NUGG (0.25%pa fees) and PMGOLD (also 0.15% fees)?

    Would your advice differ depending on whether an investor already holds IOO or is just starting out? It seems to me there are good reasons, such as transaction costs and capital gains tax, for sticking with one's existing EFTs, even as newer, lower-cost, more-diversified ETFs grow their AUMs and prove their index tracking. But, someone who is just starting out may be better off investing in the newer ETFs?

    Question, this has probably been answered so plz link me to the relevant video; as a young person 19-22, working full-time with a steady income, what do you think is the best investment? For me my end goal is to have my finances sorted by 30-35 (which I have been told is possible with being consistent w investing) or at least on track to a very strong position. I have been told buying property, doing it up for 2 yrs with my dad who's a tradie (I am not), then selling it for a capital growth and rinsing and repeating is a good strategy. I've also been told that buying your first investment property and trying to get it neutrally or positively geared, and buying a whole bunch of investment properties is also a good idea. My thoughts are in the short term (1-2yrs) whilst saving up for a deposit, put my money into ETFs and consistently deposit $600 a week into that, wait a few years for it to grow and save, and then deploy one of the property investment strategies. Not sure if this would be better than just putting it all into the stock market but what's your suggestion?

    Effectively you are talking about margin loan. And I am reminded of the dangerous of this the story of Rick Guerin and how he had to sell BKK.A shared for just $40 during the 73 and 74 downturn. Though he did well after that the lesson is there is no guarantee of success and we never hear of hundreds that have had to shut down

  • @uberboiz
    @uberboizАй бұрын

    Nah, it's not the same as margin loan. Margin loan is secured against the borrower's share portfolio and would trigger a 'margin call' if the market value of the portfolio drops under a certain level - there's no such thing as 'margin call' if the borrowing is secured against the equity of the borrower's real estate instead. Having said that, I agree with your point that using debt to invest always carries a higher level of risk.

    Thanks, Chris for summarising the two options. On top of what you mentioned Pros for Investing in Property Vs Share • It allows manufacturing capital growth and rental income growth. • Security leverage of borrowing more from lenders with lower interest rate through the equity to build up a portfolio. • Asset depreciation & tax deductions for high incomers Cons are • Long-Term Commitment -Stress of holding the asset over long time • Surprised costs for emergency repairs or bad tenants etc that can end up to 10k p/y • Interest rate fluctuation that impact cashflow over time • Higher initial funds required to get started. • It is harder to invest in the right property. • Risk of total loss in case of any health issues or lifestyle changes.

    I agree to everything you have said. To also add other reasons in addition to just traditional active funds 1, Tons of youtube young/old fin-influencers flogging their get rich stock tips, pump & dump schemes. Not to mention crypto bros with their s$*t coins 2. ETFs by design is a lot term get rich slow scheme, in era of instant gratification & yolo, many are willing to take unnecessary risks to take active approach you pointed out which doesn't last too long 3. Dilution/breakaway from traditional ETFs - Unfortunately, the providers too have become too greedy and instead of promoting low cost index funds with pays them too little, they are churning out tons of actively managed thematic funds that can vary from a sector such as AI to geared funds with higher fees encouraging trading/whats hot to invest behaviour 4,. Wrap Platforms - While the level of education is high amongst young investors, most older australians are tied / locked into wrap platforms which financial advisors promote and also not only get paid commissions for putting them into these high fees products, they also benefit to make another 1-2% over lifetime of portfolio from fees. These are too complicated and hard to pull out to make switch for them

  • @tonytan5945
    @tonytan59452 ай бұрын

    I’ll give my 2 cents, firstly there’s very little published research if any about managed funds (sans fees) compared with low cost index funds. It would be interesting to see and would guess that the majority of managed funds actually out perform the index over a set period BEFORE FEES. Secondly, the choice is very dependent on your age and time horizon. Index ETFs haven’t been around that long, maybe roughly 10 yrs in the public eye, which means a lot of retirees who started investing in the 1980s-90s are still holding onto individual shares which have probably done well over those decades, hence you have a large number of investors holding a greater number of individual shares or managed funds, while the younger groups who started in the 2010s would probably be more in index ETFs purely as a function of their age and time in market. Things will change in another 20 years when these young investors become the majority holders and there will be a flip to majority index etf holders. There will be intrinsic wider issues when that happens but nobody knows the significance till it happens.

    I think a company's ability to innovate has less to do with their dividend payout, and more to do with the industry they are in. How much 'innovation' can you realistically expect from big Australian dividend payers which are mostly banks and miners, regardless of the amount of cash they retain on their balance sheet?
