Based on a true event. At a Battle of west of Leningrad on 20 August 1941, Lt. Sinoviy Kolobanov's unit of five KV-1 tanks ambushed a column of German armor. His tanks had twice the normal number of shells, 2/3rds which were armor piercing. They were the only Soviet force available to stop a German tank penetration in the area. Kolobanov had his KV-1s well-hidden , dug in within a grove at the edge of a swamp. He had his tanks wait until the enemy was close before firing. Kolobanov's tank went forward and knocked out twenty-two German tanks and two towed artillery pieces before he ran out of ammo. He knocked out the first and last tanks in the enemy column, boxing them in. The confused Germans couldn't see him until late and were trapped against a swamp which they entered and bogged down in with their narrow tracks, making them easy targets. Kolobanov ordered oone of his KV-1s forward, and later another. They knocked out twenty-one more German tanks in ending a battle about thirty minutes. Two KV-1s remained in reserve and never engaged. To be fair, the KV-1 had a 76.2 mm gun with 3.5-inch armour in front and 3.0 on the side. Most of the German tanks were Pzkw IIIs with 37mm guns and even Pzkw IIs with puny 20mm guns, with neither the range nor power to have any effect on the KV-1. Nevertheless, it was a well placed ambush on well chosen ground and prevented a German panzer penetration into the Leningrad defences that day. Check it out on line.

What wrong with this scene??? easy..historically not correct..The russians didn't have radioes in there tanks until late in the war. They were forced to used hand signals in and out of battle until then.

Как всегда в фильмах, показывают Т-34-85 ,которые пошли в эксплуатацию в 1944 году. А к тому времени КВ-1 устарел после 3 лет войны и после появления у Германии тяжелых танков "Тигр" и "Пантера" В этом фильме должны быть танки Т-34-76 разных модификаций с более короткими пушками.

Absoluter Schwachsinn so ein Manöver wie im Film hat es so nicht gegeben die meisten deutschen Panzer der Zeit sind nicht Mal durch feindlichen Einfluss zerstört worden sondern sind von den eigenen Truppen untauglich gemacht worden durch Mangel an Nachschub oder technischen Problemen
