what do we do if we have the floyd is it any diffrent?
@MZguitarКүн бұрын
You have the option of playing the whammy antics heard in the song if you'd like. Now, since I didn't (and still don't) have a floyd rose bridge, the specifics of these parts are not explained in the tutorial. So if you want to play what the lead guitar is doing with the whammy bar at the beginning of the solo, you'll have to use a different source or figure it out yourself.

Pretty unusual use of the melodic minor scale in parts of the intro riff. I thought you played it wrong at first until I slowed down the original track and listened to it in only one ear. You got it all right! Never noticed those strange notes before, very interesting
@MZguitarКүн бұрын
It is very interesting indeed! The differences between the two hard-panned guitar parts in their songs are very fun to learn and are educational. Splitting the stereo track into two separate mono tracks and working on each track makes it easier to figure out what each part is doing.

Thanks for the video! I noticed some discrepancies between the tabs and the way you play it, especially at minute 7:55, between bars 25 and 26

Glad you liked the video! Unfortunately, this used to happen here and there with older videos as I didn't proof read my tabs at the final stages of making the video, so any changes I would've made to how the part is played wouldn't be in the tab. For this reason and other ones, I plan on recreating some of these older tutorials.

Small correction, at 2:47 the riff written down as 8 8 8 on the 6th string is in fact not entirely correct. The first 8 should be 7th fret 5th string.

@MZguitar15 күн бұрын
Is this because of the interlude section? If it's the because of the ninth chord shape ( 5 7 9 , 6 8 10 ) , then one could try to play those on the 6th string where much less stretching is involved. The chords would then be 12 12 14 and 13 13 15.

I'm using an amp sim by Bogren Digital called the BDH III ampknob for the rhythm tone and for the lead it's the the same old lead tone I've been using for ages from Bias FX 1 (1st tone in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fHmAscapgs7FYLQ.html) Both tones are pitch shifted with the Efektor Whammo Pitch Shifter from Kuassa, but the rhythm tone also has a custom IR for lower tunings from Bogren Digital, and an EQ doing a low pass at around 9500k.
