In the recent clinical study on M4, there was no evidence of melasma or increased pigmentation. While we continue to invest in quality research, there is currently no research to date on topical estrogen and melasma. If you have a history of or propensity for melasma, we advise you to start slowly, applying M4 to small area. If melasma appears, discontinue use. As always we advise using a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily. And we really are working on the research, so please let us know how it goes!

As a 60 yo licensed esthetician, my comment is for Caroline Yu, when layering your skincare with M4 you want to treat this product as a “cream serum”. Meaning you will cleanse, tone, apply water-based serums, THEN apply M4 like a cream serum since it’s thicker, then your moisturizer and SPF. The folks at Alloy could use some skin specialists like estheticians (as we’ll talk about it with our clients as I specialized in Anti-Aging) and dermatologists to explain usage. I’m so very excited to share this with my clients!

Iodine helps prevent breast cysts and breast cancers! All Americans are iodine deficient. There’s not enough iodine in Salt and not enough in the soil, so none of the food has iodine. In addition, all the flour and bakery goods in America are loaded with bromine, and bromine blocks the iodine receptors. T3 and T4 thyroid hormones are simply three and four molecules of iodine. Thyroid hormone is a iodine shuttle in the body and a critical element for normal function of all the endocrine glands. If you are sick first do a salt flush to get the bromine out because chlorine will help knock out the bromine and then start taking it-throud or Idorol or Lugols iodine, which are a blend of iodide and iodine. You may have a cleansing reaction (herxheimer reaction) to this at first because your body is detoxing the bromine out of your cells. But all hypo and hyper thyroid conditions are normally from lack of iodine and can be fixed with iodine treatment. Get Dr David Brownstein‘s book on iodine and he will explain all of this to you for more details.

If it didn’t get into your blood system it wouldn’t affect your skin …just think about it - it’s pretty simple! When I first heard about Alloy (tfrom a popular menopause doctor Mary Claire), I was so excited to join. I thought "FINALLY... I will get the help I need". Alloy sounds good in theory, but I have the service and plan to cancel it. The high cost cannot be justified for the actual service you get. It's another company taking advantage of menopausal women financially. You will pay double or more of what you would pay if you go to a doctor and get a prescription. I pay almost $300 every 3 months for an estradiol patch and progesterone. When I go directly through a doctor, the same EXACT hormones are much cheaper. If I get a prescription from a regular doctor and use a RX code the estradiol patch is $32 per month (sometimes cheaper), and Progesterone is $12 (sometimes cheaper), do the math. Alloy does not allow you to pick up your prescription from a pharmacy, or use a RX code. So the prices are outrageous. As for the doctor that is included with Alloy, you will barely get a response from them, I've sometimes had to wait a week or 2 for a response and to make matters worse, they don't seem to be experts or even knowledgeable about menopause and hormones. The responses are so generic that at one point I thought my doctor was an automated response bot. Eventually, I realized she was an actual human. I asked my doctor what her thoughts were about me taking a DIM supplement, and her response was "I'm not familiar with that, what is DIM"? How can a menopause specialist not even know what DIM is? that's only one of many questions I asked that I got no answer to. I asked about Testosterone, the doctor was clueless, I asked about raising my patch dosage, and the doctor was clueless. I was so desperate for help that I chose alloy, and I will say, my hot flashes have stopped completely... but all of my other symptoms still exist. The flashes are the only thing I got relief from. I've taken full exams and my health is perfect (except for my hormones). The service is not worth the price. Amazon Health is about to add hormone treatment to its list of services, and it will be very affordable. when it comes to menopause, choose your doctor or service wisely. This is something you will have to deal with for the rest of your life. Good service and affordability are important.

It has taken a while to find a patch brand that works best for me, so I wouldn’t want to use just “any” estradiol patch that gets sent to me by Alloy. Plus, cost is an issue and I get the best price with Good Rx. Please consider this, and thank you for your work and activism! 🫶🏼

There was dementia on both sides of my family. I went on hormone replacement in my 50's thinking it would give me protection and the clinic where I went gave me vaginal estrogen and no systemic estrogen. The clinic had been informed as to my concerns and that I also had osteoarthritis. I am now 71 years old and just found out by listening to Dr.Casperson that my brain has not been receiving any estrogen and nor have my joints. Is it too late for me to start on a patch and if it is not too late then is the patch preferable over a pill? I have not had any blood clots and if there is no sound research that can link cancer with hormone replacement (cancer on both sides of family) then could it be something that might still benefit me? I would like to confront them but would like more knowledge before doing so.
