  basically, yes Minoxidil is the generic form of Rogaine. The active ingredient in the generic formula and Rogaine are basically the same. The only main differences would be found on various brands' inactive ingredients lists.

  ​@MaverickLee11 Yes, you said Rogaine is for 40 years and above, but I started using it when I was 19 lool. I've stopped using Rogaine now, and currently taking 2.5 mg oral minoxidil.

  yes very similar, if you use a derma-roller prior application, either one is much more effective
