No touch control, have to use the physical buttons and the settings you change will just show up on the monitor as a monitor overlay... Not too pleased.

Now seeing this. I was initially considering the Blackmagic but this may be a more flexible and seemingly better designed option than the BMSC-G2 once SDI is not needed. NDI is certainly a bonus and hopefully the license is included in the initial selling price. Built-in SD Card, Ethernet and Wifi Connectivity, Dual Base ISO sensor, Mic and Headphone ports, XLR port, Rear facing HDMI port ... what's not to like? The only thing missing is SDI connectivity. For my use case, once in the same price range as the BMSC-G2, this is the winner.

I'm going to get one of these and rigged it out as a super tidy, compact cine cam. So cute! Great to sling in your backpack or as a 2nd/3rd cam for shoots. Perfect on a gimbal too. I'm assuming the image is pretty similar to the P4K>!

Yeah box style cameras are great for turning into little cinema rigs. For the price it's not bad considering its specs and performance. I'm looking to buy this to turn it into a cinema camera.

This is exactly what I want to do but the missed opportunity is that they did not make it so you could change settings on an external monitor so you are stuck changing settings on the tedious physical buttons... If they change this situation with a firmware update I am buying one the day I hear about it!

I'm guessing this is intended to compete with the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera G2, but given NDI was designed for PTZ cameras, I'm not really sure why a static NTI camera is overly beneficial. One really needs a full control eco system to make the most of devices like these, and while one could probably jerry rig something I'm not sure building a piecemeal system based on this standard is going to be as effective as a unified eco system that would cost roughly the same.

Yeap not sure what you mean, a computer with vmix and a ethernet net switch.... alot less then sdi or hdmi converters all over the place. Ndi is awesome for professionals and hobbiest alike

The gimbal has been overheating with the bmpcc 4K. I have a small vintage lens and basic rig cage. Is this normal?

I bought the Small Rig weight for this but now I'm lost as to how I can balance it because the gimbal is now too heavy to the right on the weighted side using the 100g weight. But I can't adjust anything on the gimbal as the camera is as far left as it can go. I'm lost on this one! Any advice?

You are talking about a comparison of a film and photography lens through a video on an audiovisual platform and you do not show any comparison of images of the 2 in different scenarios. Is this serious in the middle of 2023??, hey friend, don't forget that those who watch this video are not only apprentices but also people who are dedicated to this business and this video did not show me the main thing I wanted to know about these lenses: images made with they. So difficult? If you dedicate yourself to making videos, think about not wasting people's time. You have big glasses on the table but they should have been on the camera for this video to be informative. They are constructive criticism.

Compared to the Meike footage, the Veydra seems to be letting in a bit more light

I was thinking the same thing. The Veydra seems to have a more even illumination compared to the Meike. (Which seems to have a pretty heavy vignette wide open)

I purchased this lens to go with my BMPCC 4K. I needed something wider than the Fujinon MK 18-55 and 50-135 that I use and love. I am struggling with this lens by comparison. It's not as sharp, which is fine. But I am struggling to get great clarity on objects more than 15 feet away and I am struggling with a lot of grain. My question is: What camera settings were you using on BMPCC 4K when filming these short clips. Thinking of just sending this lens back because I am so frustrated. But I think there is something I am failing at on my end. Thanks for any help you can give?

Disregard that comment. The problem is with the camera. We have a couple BMPCC 4K cameras. I think the one got damaged when we filmed our doc in Africa. The lens looks great on the other BMPCC 4K. Your review was very helpful. I love the BMPCC 4K for run and gun work and just wanted to see if I can get a wider angle without barrel distortion on this camera and not have to move up to the 6K which is loud or other cameras which are heavier and more money and not ideal for run and gun doc work. THANK YOU for your channel!

Hi, do you have any focus and Vignetting issues on DZO 10-24? I saw a review about these issues. 1. Image is to soft so that hard to focus. 2. Use 77mm filter, it will vignette from 10-11mms.

I think they’re outstanding in terms of format, durability, expand ability, and image with my second favorite color science only to ARRI. They’ve been my company to watch for the past 3 years. I don’t think we’ve seen nearly what they’re capable of yet.

The CP series has the same glass as the classic lineup just with a different lens coating. It’s basically the same lens with just a more film friendly exterior.
