Inspirational! I'll be 53 this year, I'll go in about a month for my THR, and it's nice to see the ability/limitations and progress you show, puts me more at ease.
When you had your hip replacement how long did it take you to be to tie your shoe on your operative leg. I had mine 7/1/24
@@ItzzzStrat that would have been a good milestone for me to track. I just went back and watched both my videos and I did not say. So I did the husbandly thing and asked my wife. She said it was before this video posted. Wish I had a better answer for you. I used slip on shoes for a while.
I have severe hip arthritis for 6 years terrified from surgery. I am 65 . But lastly it’s a great pain , xrays showed degeneration and on 22 August I am having the replacement. Immensely scared
@@stanislava7415 I was scared as well. It’s a big surgery. After couple weeks after your surgery, you will be so happy you got it done. Mine was a 100% success. I’m sure yours will to. Please keep in touch after your surgery. You will be in my thoughts.
That’s the date of my operation as well. Good luck😀
Mine leaks … after a hard rain we have puddles of water to the left of the door and in front of the right side door. Trying to come up with some way to seal the doors when there shut.

Thank you man for sharing your recovery story. I'm on my week 3, and I'm happy to know that everything is going on like in your case. Ready to dance on my week 4 :)
It's a german/austrian engine in her. Right there.
Thank you for your video . I am 2 weeks post op and your healing journey brings me encouragement.
How are you now ? Can you run 3 miles or such ?
@@benrodnisky1 I’m 200 times better now. If I was a runner, I could run 3 miles with no hip issues at all. My surgeon recommended no running. I promised him I would not run unless a very large man was chasing me. LOL. But I play with my kids. I run around the field with my dog. No issues at all. If you’re a runner, you will be able to run soon after your surgery.
@@FrankGuest haha thats such a great news !! Thank you sir. Im 37 yo 6'0 205 lbs , about to do 1 side after years of pain and allso left side starts to feel like artheritic pain .. This gives me much hope
Yeah but did you get permission from your DR to do any of these exercises? Having no restrictions doesn't mean the Dr would approve of some of these. I have seen many reports were it could take 6 to 8 weeks before full bone fusion to implant
@@mikeworkman3593 I feel like I took it pretty easy. I felt like I could do more. I showed my doctor both videos. He asked me to post them to his website. So I’m pretty sure he approved and was happy with my results.
@@FrankGuest But did you like get permission to out a certain amount of weight on it? Nothing on my stuff says how much I am supposed to apply. Surgery was Monday, and the PT just came to my house today. So between that there was no one I could find that gave me a good answer. Most places online list weeks before full weight is supposed to be on it. So my PT guy says I can put full weight on it if by like accident. That's how it was explained to me, as tolerated. Anyways my PT guy says the cane won't work to help with gait practice, so that is why they don't use them until a couple of weeks go by
I have the even cheaper 18" Weber kettle grill and I am 100% going to do this mod after seeing this. Thanks!
When done. Will the room go back to the supplied pc and camera?
Since you are a couple yrs out now, can you elaborate on how you feel now, what you can and cannot do (if any). What are your limits? As I said below, I am 61 and in decent shape. I hope to be able to return to hiking, golf, surfing, dirt bike riding. Am I nuts, or are these things possible on a fairly normal level?
I'm 61 and in somewhat good shape. I am going to have this in my left leg sometime this yr. THANK YOU so much for your vid. Great to see someone actually going through it. Many of the other vids do not show this.
You did everything correctly, except put the rotors in the right direction. The lines and holes are supposed to cut into the break. It’s supposed to look like the rotor is spinning backwards. Just KZread how to install drill slotted rotors👍🏿
Your right about that I guess it’s just a matter of how you want the brake dust to show on your rims. My dust shows like 1 inches round dots in the back of the rims..
@ProWilson21. Slotted/drilled rotors are very puzzling. What bugs me is the slotted aspect. Say you got them this way as recommended, the brake dust will be expelled towards the outer edge with every rotation because of the centrifugal force, whereas if the slots were the other way your dust would be forced inward towards the center, basically compacting itself and filling the slot. Not sure if that makes any sense. Been installing my rotors this way for years without any issues. 👍👍
@ProWilson21. Actually he followed manufacturers recommended installation...remember that sticker? Lol If the vents/vanes are straight IIIIIII it really doesn't change much but if they are angled //////// then you need to be careful. (Edited)
so sick of seeing these miracle recoveries, everyone wants to be a Super hero. The majority of these hip surgeries are not what they show you. Stop watching this BS
Thanks for the help :)
How to order
Does it synchronize all models with each other for a large conference room?
This is very helpful. I'm using UC-C100-T as well. We have dual display but once the teams meeting joined and the content is not able to show on both display, is there have any option we can share content on dual display when joining teams meeting? Thanks.
Thank you. I am 75 and getting to getting the same approach done late this year. PS. You are great dad!
helped a ton thanks!
Can you please elaborate about the pain meds? I am allergic to opioids, so my doctors say I will be fine with ibuprofen and acetaminophen, but I am scared and skeptical.
Also are the cameras wireless?
My monitor keeps beeping WHY? How can I turn it off?
Thanks so much!! I feel better after seeing this video. I will be having the anterior approach hip replacement in 1 month and I can’t wait. I need to get my life back .😊
Great video Frank
I had a bilateral total hip replacement. Went home after 4 days. Looked after myself. Got 14 syringes and realized I had to inject myself every day to prevent blood clots. Did my exercises and after two weeks walked with a cane.I hated those damn compression socks😅 Sleep on your back, don't cross your legs, raised toilet seat etc. Made a t bar from the ceiling to pull myself up and out of bed. All worked out well.
I have many faults and I'm not pointing fingers or pokin' fun at anyone. I am nowhere near perfect myself. I just wanted to point out your excessive us of "uh". You use it too often and it makes it difficult to listen. Like I said, I am by no means being a prick. If I had a booger or something, I think the gut that tells me is much better than the ones that don't. I am only trying to help. Seriously, rewatch the video. It's nearly every other syllable. Idk if you were nervous, but if so, there was no need. Your video was helpful and informative. Thank you.
Hi Frank, thanks for all of the information you provide for the Crestron systems. I'm using a MX50-T with a UC Engine PT that loses connection to the tv monitor after the initial Crestron boot up logo appears. Any ideas of what I can do to get it back?
Nice video, on day 3 of my recovery! Thank you!
Thano you. I will see me surgeon next week for left hip repacement. I needed to see this. I'd love to see where you are now. Seeing you do squats, bike ride and lift your daughter encouraged me. I
and this concludes your episode of pimp my grill
Im even more confused now
I'm getting ready for surgery soon and I need this video to help me on recovery and give me information on what I can expect . Thank You 👏👍
Thank you for video, I have a question did you drive yourself to store, fitness place? Did doctor okay you to drive and go to gym?
Wow you doing great. I’m 26 days in and whilst I can walk 20 minutes that is no way I could cycle lift weights etc. I’ve had some set backs but the range of movement is incredible
The link you have, the thermometer has a goofy looking tab on it. Did you just break that tab off? How does that fit with only one hole?
That “tab” is the wing nut that secures the thermometer from the inside of the grill
The old handle washer was on top of the flapper float. It did not get flushed down the toilet.
what exact diagonal size is this screen?
Came across your video. It is helpful to see what to expect. I’m having right hip replacement May 30, 2024.Over a period of 10yrs I was treated aggressively with high doses of steroids for chronic migraines and reactive airway disease. Unfortunately I developed AVN (avascular necrosis). The pain is now unbearable. Over time it’s progressively gotten worse. Your video helped me to have an idea of what to expect on the other side. Thank you
How is the hip now still ok
Better than OK. It’s still good as new!
I'm interested in your progress how can I access your continuing recovery???
Anyone else fine arrow shed measurements a little stupid, False advertising, calling a 10x10 shed , which should be 10’ feet long by 10’feet wide, is actually about 9’ feet 6”inches x 9’feet 6” inches.
I am scheduled for THR on May 23, 2024. I have had a series of things happen to make it very challenging to get myself ready. First My surgeon found I had a rash in my groin. I cleared it but missed a bit farther back in my leg so now am treating that spot. Then at my pre surgery pgysical the testing showed I had a urine infection so I had to takenstrong antibiotics 4 times a day for 1 week. I cleared the infection. Then had to have denal work just before the 3 week cutoff to be ready for surgery and my surgeon moved the date from May 20 to MAY 23 TO BE JUST 3 WEEKS AFTER THE DENTAL WORK. Then the dentist had a cancellation and was able to get me in on April 30, 3 days earlier. I keep having fears something else will come up to cancel or delay my surgery. I have been doing the pre-suurgery exercisessince March 1 and am loking firward to beung able to walk without supporting me weight on my arms. I really have had very little pain with the bone on bone hip but cannot take a step.without holdding to my walker ot the table or counter in my kitchen and in my barh I use the vanity counter and the grab bars because the rollator walker will not go through the door. I also use the grab bar attached to my tub and the vanity top to sit and get up first on the toilet and now using a seat riser on my toilet. I now have a bath seat I can get up from so will not be trappwd in the tub like I was last Oct. when it took me an hour to get up and out of the tub after a shower because my small round bath seat tipped when I tried to get up and I cannot pull up but must push up from my seat. I do what is neded to move safely with my bad hip. Looking forward to walking after the surgery since I have been usung my walker for almost 9 years as my.hip had gottwn worse.
Great report A++. Please 6month review please.
Man thank you for this vid. And congratulations 💪🏾
Thank you for watching my videos.
- appreciate the video- So How is the hip in 2024?
Just curious will the pain dissipate after a couple months and how would I see your progress for the next six months my wife doesn’t have any hip left. Can barely get around so it won’t be long for her to be going through the same thing. Thanks for the video.
