I love this time and think it’s among the best written in the last 20 years. The child focus in the video caught me by surprise because I’ve always heard this as pure and wistful love song with Tamara singing about another person in the band. It resonates on multiple levels, including as an ode to Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle! Seriously, the way it is and the way 3:43 it could be both are

Everyone is bringing up Talk Talk, but the arrangements in this song remind me the most of the song "Tiedo" by Baaba Maal.

Her voice is reminiscent of Margo of Cowboy Junkies. For me, that's a good thing. To present a hard idea, a soft voice does better to me, anyway. I remember the difference between the music & relate the voice tone and the thing that happens when the song is happy & the lyrics are not. Contrasts make good music!

And once again, I'm disappointed in radio here in Alberta. No Arkells, no Begonia, no Rural Alberta Advantage, no Josh Sahunta, not even The Beaches. Instead we hear 15 year old songs that have Can-con. I hate to say, our country isn't supporting our own anymore😥

How has this song only that amount of views? Brilliant tune and video to match.

I never believed in the robber I never saw nobody climb over my fence No black bag, no gloved hand I never believed in the robber I figured everything he took was gone Nothing to do, nothing to be done I never believed in the robber No, I never believed in the robber You never believed in the robber You thought a robber must hate you To wanna take from you The robber don't hate you You never believed in the robber But the robber never believed in you You're two halves of the same piece Divided into two No, the robber don't hate you No, the robber don't hate you He had permission Permission by words Permission of thanks Permission by laws Permission of banks White table cloth dinners Convention centers, it was all done real carefully Make real imagination, make unreal That which can be taken Turn your gaze from the window's light Turn your attention to this sharp knife I never believed in the robber When I was young I learned how to make love to the robber To dance with the other To wring from his hand the touch of a lover I never believed in the robber Nobody taught me nothing was mine If nothing was mine Then taking was all there was Looting at dawn, looting at dusk Hold open the gates for the want of lust All I saw was the dust, kicked up

found it through Jango, the free radio service. Really nice song
The voice, the lyrics, the strings ❤
This was by far the worst song and music video I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Be safe y’all …. Jesus
I saw The Weather Station in concert in Brighton, England. They were superb 🥳🎤🎸🥁🎹🎶
Just saw them open for First Aid Kit, absolutely fantastic band!! Was incredibly moved by their set
saw weather station line 2 days ago
That was absolutely brilliant. HOLY SHIT!
I'm hearing echoes of Talk Talk's 'Happiness is Easy' here; wonderful tune!
Do you dance?
Come to Mexico <3

redbar rules
Got an old Talk Talk feel to it
Indeed and that can only be a good thing. Miss Mark Hollis.
Fantastica!
Yo this is fucking dope
I am late to the parade but I’m glad I discovered these guys last year
repeat....repeat.....repeat......
Love the way that, by the end of the song, she embodies the bird she sings about at the beginning. Just brilliant.
can’t stop hearing “rubber” as if the song is about a couple who neglects contraception.
Reminds me of 'Rubberband Girl' by Kate Bush.
I can't get over how beautifully intricate this song is
You call this intricate
Großartige Frau!!
Steely Dan.. right ?
