Cliffe said 2 different things regarding getting to heaven, ignoring the evil bit is 2nd part - not recognising God or walking away from God. Walking away from God would not exclude other belief systems that were not aware of God but not accepting God would not. The lovely lady was not questioning Jesus per say, most gospels and scriptures about Jesus contradict what Cliffe position is. She was asking what right as cliffe got to decide what is right on wrong.

I think what she fails to understand is that all of us, everyone, is worthy of God’s wrath. As the Lord said (Matthew 7.22-23) even many self-professing Christians will be condemned. We all deserve judgment. It is only by His grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that we are saved.
You are not going to hell, you are going to a place without god. If god is good, you are going to a place without goodness. How do you show love? If you love your wife do you not put your faith in her, do you talk to her, do you do your best to keep her happy by doing the right thing for her? It is the same way you show your love for god.

Is it reflecting of a loving God? How incredibly loving is God that he gave us a way at all to be saved from our Crimes against him and his kingdom? Yet, there are people who want to claim God isn’t loving because He rejects all the ways men created on their own to get to Heaven. This is just more of the progressive “your truth” ideology. If you can get people to believe that everyone can have their own truth and that every truth is equal and to be respected then you can make actual truth irrelevant. This girl is a sweetheart and very thoughtful with her questions and responses. I think Cliff might’ve missed her point on this one, or maybe I did, but I feel like he danced around her point and didn’t directly answer her questions. Love Cliffe but I wasn’t totally satisfied with how he handled this one. Very nice of her to hang in there until the end even though she knew he wasn’t understanding exactly what she was trying to get at.
Cliff did. If Jesus was speaking the truth, then by default all other religions are false and lead to nowhere. If Muhammad was speaking the truth, then Jesus by default would be false. Jesus made a truth claim and in that claim resides TRUTH. It doesn’t reside in any other belief no matter how sincere one’s belief may be. We’ve all sinned and deserve justice for our crimes. If Jesus’ claims are true that there’s no other way to forgive sin, then a belief in something else is invalid because it contradicts the truth IN CHRIST.

All the Apostles (except John, who was banished to an island) were tortured and died for their beliefs. All they had to do to save themselves was to say they made it all up. If you have nothing to gain, and everything to lose, why do that !

Uh No, actually. Judas killed himself and most of the others simply went on their way, never to be heard from again. Of the ones that may have been killed, their is Peter, Paul and James brother of Jesus, there is no evidence that they died refusing to denounce their faith or that it would have spared them. I do have a hard time with hell as a Jesus Christ follower, my dad is one of the nicer humans, he does not believe, I dare claim he does not deserve eternal torment.

It's not about how nice or how good you are. God created us with out sin that's why he was with Adam and Eve in the garden with them. But as soon as they sinned . God took them out of the garden because he could not be with sinful man because he is perfect. But he still loved us and he new we could not get back to his perfection. So he came down from haven and became man and died a perfect life for us. So as Adam was sinful so are we from birth.
This is where you give your testimony of saying why you chose Jesus Christ. How was he real in your life. The love you received that you didn't get from these other guys. You don't get that in Muhammed. You don't get that in Buddah, you don't get that in other religions or beliefs.

This lady is lovely and sincere, but her logic is so frustrating. She needs to come to the realization that not all religions can be true, no matter how sincere the followers of each religion are. Logic and common sense dictates that either one religion is true or all of them are false, because they all contradict each other.
I agree the lady was loving and sincere. Yes the various religions have differences but there are not necessarily contradictory, no more than the bible itself is contradictory. It might be the case that God cares not what religion but that somebody is true to their believes. In other words God may be accepting of 2 people that have opposing view as about the nature of God but accepts them both because they are true to themselves. In the same he would accept atheist because they have been honest to themselves. So the lady is saying isn't it arrogant of Cliffe to assume his is the only way.

The apostle Paul (formerly Saul) is one of the best evidences for Jesus' resurrection imho. Why would someone in such a position of power/authority, a man who was going around persecuting Christians and even having Stephen stoned to death, do a complete 180 and become one of the chief preachers of the Gospel? Losing all his power, authority, money, respect, etc.. in exchange for a life of poverty, hardship, suffering, and his eventual death all for the sake of Christ. All because he really 100% believed that he had seen the risen Christ, but also because it was confirmed time and time again by all the miracles that he and those around him witnessed first hand. Then you have to think about why all these other people would do the same, risking torture and execution, all because they would not deny what they *knew* to be true: that Jesus had risen from the dead on the third day and ascended into heaven. What reason would anyone have had to lie about it? There was nothing to gain from any of it unless it were actually true.
I am not trying to persuade you against your beliefs, just wish to enlighten you about evidence and history. Whatever Paul's motivations were, they were only known by Paul. Paul never met Jesus. His revelation was described as a vision. His writings were 50-60 years after Jesus's death. They predate the gospels and acts. So this could not be evidence in any sense of the word. This would best be described as motivation for your belief, but not for anyone else. Second, there is no evidence that anyone risked torture or death for their Christian belief. Other that Peter and James brother of Jesus, the rest of the apostles just disappear. There is no evidence that they died because of their beliefs or even if they did, whether they had a chance to recant to save their own lives. Rome was very tolerant of other religions and permitted the free exercise of religion throughout their empire. Nero killed Christians as a political act to scapegoat them, not because of what they believed. Why would they lie? Unclear why or if they did. We have no evidence any of the story is true. But even if they did believe it, so did Heaven's gate followers, Jim Jones, Joseph Smith. This would not be unusual at all.
