    Good point about leaving Mai behind.. never thought it until mentioned... very likley its darth Plagueis and the unknown planet is Bal'deminc 1 out only 2 planets with cortosis also where Tenebrous and Plagueis spent much time mining .... hopefully if renewed they will expand on that and it will tie in with Plagueis learning to create life with same vengeance... also coz of the rule of 2 Plagueis is just snooping for the ore in qimirs cave and he may not have killed Tenebrous yet

    Thanks for sharing. I guess I need to read up on the Plagueis lore more. Fingers crossed there will be a second season. FYI: I don't know why your original comment isn't showing up. Not sure if my reply will show and if you can see it. For some reason, KZread seems to hide some comments and I can't figure out the reason. I don’t reckon Plageous would be up for Mae joining in on whatever scheme he has running. There’s something about the two being one that is suggesting that at any one point in time one is dark and the other light. I don’t think Qimir can take light back the Plageous

    How/why Osha is doing what she is doing isn't explained. she hasn't used witch magic or the Thread in 16 years, but she can use it now as if she were a Mother? Its only been a day at most and she trust's Qimir? why? Sol, should of disarmed Mae. He said just a few minutes ago he needs her alive, so I doubt he was going to kills her. the ship doesn't have a hyperdrive so she can only go as far as Brendock. Then that lil *hit rat basal. wtf is his motivation? And all of this makes the chase pointless and just eye candy. The scene with David Harewood, should of been the absolute first scene of the whole entire series. It sets up the stakes. And what is sad is 2 minutes of David is better than most of the characters in this show, not all, but most. When senator asks who will stop the rogue jedi. Any competent writer should have Venestra speak up. "The jedi have guarded the Republic, even to our own detriment for Eons. And we will always be there to defend it as we did against the Sith...." it cuts the momentum that the Senator built up, and it would show that Venestra knows how to play that game as well. This show has given me no faith that they know how to do Plagueis justice, so I wish he was never even cameoed, especially since he should be a late tween to into his teens right now. but hey just a birthday right? Sol runs from the Jedi, just to turn on his transponder now? why? At the bare minimum he should of turned to Bazil and said "if I don't come back by such and such time, turn on the transponder and wait for the Jedi to arrive." how do you get the lift operational? you blew up the generators, its been 16 years of degradation. How does Qimir get in? new force power Force Teleportation? Why is there a hole in the roof? should of had Osha Force Push Mae out of the room, and then she disappears, because the "batmaning" is getting old and over used. Also her use the Force on Mae and looking at her hands just adds more credence to her regaining her powers. I get he was trying to use the helm again, but you have your lightsaber on the opposite side of Sol's blade. TAKE the bloody shot! his head is right there! Sure he destroys the main saber, but your Shoto saber is still there, and you have to have 2 crystals for 2 blades. Sol has trounced Qimir two times now, but Mae can disarm him with ease? Lightsabers are built to be durable, but a toss onto something suddenly breaks this one like its a dollar store toy? Mae has spent the entire season looking to kill the Jedi, and suddenly she wants Justice? Where did this come from? Its rather convenient that Sol never gets the chance to say "your mother was turning into Force demon, and was vaporizing Mae. I did what I thought was best to protect Mae and you Osha. My only choice was to strike down your mother." "Without Mae there was no proof" What about the blood tests? The fact that Mae and Osha had identical resonance signatures in the Force? Crazy how the writers forgot about that. Osha bleeding a crystal by accident is not only wrong logically, it literally goes against Disney's own lore. How many Men, women and children did Anakin kill? his saber never changed. There should be Rage, heartbreak, outrage in Osha to even begin to bleed a crystal. I'm talking about all but foaming at the mouth!... I don't see any of that on Amandla's face, until after he is dead. She should still be angry when he lashes out at Qimir.. instead she's puzzled? Its also sad that Venestra has all the powers every other Jedi should of had in this show, aside from her use of Psychometry. She tells them to set up a 5 klick Perimeter, and yet ALL of the Jedi are following the Rat?! that is not how a perimeter works! "You are going to do what you were meant to do?" What exactly is that? hmm? it literally is not established at all in the show. And what is established changes at the drop of a hat. Memory Wipe.. great Qimir can do it... so why didn't he use it before hand? just a tease of it somewhere earlier in the show to leave that lil bread crumb. So when he uses it here your like aah ok. Then Yoda.. looks as old as he did in the OT. Why couldn't they spend the money to either make a younger puppet, or just CGI him as was done in the Prequels? Where was Yoda? he could feel Order 66, but not these Jedi dying? But worst yet, instead of making the Jedi look fallible. they did nothing but make them look incompetent, absolutely corrupt, and if she comes clean with Yoda then that makes him complicit in the corruption. I can't claim most of the things I pointed out as my own ideas, in fact i've gathered them from many people from youtube. But they are all valid points. Most of these just come from this episode, with just a few extending back to the beginning of the show.

    I have been a huge Godzilla fan my entire life. This is by far my favorite one. I have watched it dozens of times. I cannot say enough great things about it. This is the first time I have heard your take on the ending. It makes sense and seems like a very good explanation. I knew that this was a German plane that Japan had started to experiment with towards the end of the war, but I never noticed the German label on the seat. I did find one big flaw, but since no one else has mentioned it, I am keeping it to myself because I honestly love this film so much.

    As always, not everyone loves the same things. You were giving the show a go, which is appreciated. It at least had a fair chance with you - which is as it always should be. I don't even know what exactly did it for me. It was for sure partially the mystery, then the exploration of the grey areas of the force - and maybe partially an act of defiance because some people were hating on the show before it was even released. Again, happy that you gave it a fair shake. Maybe the next Star Wars show ends up being a good fit for you. Fingers crossed. 🤞

  • @MichasBreakdown
    @MichasBreakdown26 күн бұрын

    Thanks, that is a nice piece of insight. I found the info online googling Cortosis, that it is not as durable as Baskar, so I guess that explains why Qimir could take a hit with a lightsaber to his helmet, but Jecky could still break it (which puzzled me a bit). So thanks for bringing that up 😊

  • @8Smoker8
    @8Smoker827 күн бұрын

    I disagree about Qimir and the whole "Jedi = oppressors" narrative. He says he wants to use the Force freely, what he means is PRECISELY "EVIL". You cannot draw that real world "minority" parallel with the Jedi and the Sith. In SW Universe the Force is very real and very dangerous if used "freely", without hard dogmas. Novice and even advanced (and many masters) Force users simply don't have the understanding, the balance and the ethics to decide their own rules. The Jedi Order has stood in place for 25k years, they've just gradually grown complacent in the last 1k years but they are by no means evil. Like in the Clone Wars s7 episode where a bus-ship got crashed by a Jedi into a homestead killing like 3 people to save 100+. That's a hard choice and ofc that one family survivors will view the Jedi as evil, but they'd be wrong. I can't wait to see how that Coven thing played out and where all that guilt was coming from. But even in the worst case, the Jedi Order are without question the good guys when it comes to institutions and not just individuals. One last point, you cannot just "control" the Force and use dark powers without eventually falling into the Dark Side and becoming evil. That's just a lie dark Jedi/Sith tell themselves, but how many successful "Neutral" Force users have we seen? For better or for worse, the Force IS black or white.

  • @MichasBreakdown
    @MichasBreakdown27 күн бұрын

    Thanks for commenting. Some interesting points there. For me, right now the best parallel would be the Sokovia Accords in the MCU - where you are forced to register or get imprisoned. I mean, for sure Qimir is the bad guy right now, basically being a terrorist. All I mean is I think his motivation is interesting and somewhat understandable. Maybe he wouldn't have turned out that way if he could have lived in the open. It is a tough one for sure, but that is why I like this show, as it shines a light on those grey areas. I quick counterpoint, though: Ezra Bridger was dabbling with the dark side and didn't succumb to it, so there may be a middle ground after all.

  • @8Smoker8
    @8Smoker827 күн бұрын

    @@MichasBreakdown I understand your point and generally I would tend to agree with Qimir's point of view being understandable (it's definitely interesting). But one has to be pretty adamant (dogmatic?) on this. The whole point of the Dark Side is to come up with believable excuses. The Ezra example is perfect: even ignoring the fact that his Dark Side period was a bit of a fanservice, it's not unheard of for darksiders to be redemeed. We've seen Ventress and even Vader. But the point is you can't keep using the Dark Side "for good" and stay good. Besides they might just be exceptions. I think it's very alluring to find alibis and motivations (which might be real) for Dark Side users but we gotta remember that in SW Good and Evil are very real and the Dark Side is indeed Evil. Back to Rebels, the Bendu tried to stand in between and Ezra himself schooled him about the importance of picking a side.

  • @MichasBreakdown
    @MichasBreakdown26 күн бұрын

    What I really would like to see is if there really is only the light and dark side of the force - or if there is something in between people like Qimir could have leaned into (if he would have chosen to go dark to rebel against the current system). Admittedly, I don't know all the lore and and backstories from books and such, so maybe that is already covered somewhere - but I really think those topics are the most interesting.

  • @8Smoker8
    @8Smoker826 күн бұрын

    @@MichasBreakdown I don't know 100% of the lore either and either way some aspects of the Force are still up for debate. However there are often misconceptions (some in bad faith) about this "middle ground" and "balance between Light and Dark" There is no "Light Side". There is the Force and there is the Dark Side, the corruption of the Force. The Force itself IS the balance, and the Jedi, by following the will of the Force are in balance. That's why the theory of Anakin restoring balance to the Force by killing the Jedi was pretty quickly debunked. Qimir would still end up evil (well he's clearly evil already) even if at start he really just wanted freedom. The power of the Force without the counterbalance of rules ("dogmas") and ethics will inevitably corrupt the user. One has to master their emotions first, the Force second. It's literally like if you had superpowers without VERY solid moral values. It's not stuff for the "common folk", you have to be trained for years.

  • @MichasBreakdown

    I'm watching the show right now and I have to say, this is by far the worst show I've ever seen, but somehow I can't stop watching it 😂😅. And I still wonder how Gavin got blonde hair in his childhood and now has pitch black hair. Not even his grandfather asked that question when they first met. How!?!?

  • @MichasBreakdown
    @MichasBreakdown3 ай бұрын

    Exactly, thanks for reminding me. That puzzled me as well. I mean, myself, I started out with a light blonde head of hair and now I’m middle to dark blonde. Well, with a bit of grey in there as well now. Anyway, from light blonde to black is really, really a big stretch.

    Agreed. I really liked the ending, though - as mentioned - a few small tweaks and a few more minutes of runtime and it would have been close to perfect.

    Hey, thank you for the comment. I didn't really expect one of the actors to check out the review, but I like this. I hope I wasn't too tough on the movie - I tried to be objective. And as I said, I was very positively surprised by the acting throughout - well done 🌞. Best of luck for your upcoming projects. I hope we will see more of you in the future.

    Mhhhhh I m split about the series. I think in a lot of scenes and especially the first episodes at the campside it does a lot of things better than other, modern series. A variety of characters, diversity without forcing it into and without any ,, woke " stuff, diverse characters which have more to offer than a Disney like ,, i am trans-queer-non-binary-fluid whatever thats my only personality and thats why i m in the show". Some nice development of the figures. Some interesting side-plots. Acting was ok i guess. For what the cast was i guess its alright. It never really getting to me, so i would say i m happy with it. 🤷 But now the downsides and oh boy. Around the middle of the first season they throw so much into it that i really thought ,,where the hell this should lead?" Sadly the show was at no point able to give me a feeling for the size of its world. I mean often it felt as you where in a kind of,,larger" hunger-games arena or so - considering that this is the whole world but just very far into the past. The show has the same problems as other shows: too less time. Problems mostly get solved in one episode. Pacing is off and odd. They re unable to develop a feeling for time and daytime during,,missions" far away. F.e the mines: as we know, they re at least somewhat like 20 miles or so away from the camp. When they got back they said , at the mines, -shit, they re heading towards the village (of the wild people) we need to warn them - giving the impression that its just around the corner. After a few episodes the show did no longer care for the ,,NPC" s in the camp, no longer for the survival aspect, no longer about the camp itself. When they come back to the camp after a long walk the daytime did not change, nothing gives as a hint on the fact that they could be away for at least a day or so - cause even in the camp, people are doing the same things they ve done as the main characters left the camp. Which makes you feel, that the mines, the HQ of the ,,evil corp. " , the mountain and the village are just in the range of one or two miles. The CGI for the animals is not good, but i can deal with it. Spinosaur looks really good, T-rex looked bad. The world is just empy as ubisoft game. 😅 I mean there are only animals or landmarks what ever, if they are needed. Oh there a few meters away is the only fallen tree. Under it, there are the secret caves. Oh yeah back there is the dry river with that one door in the wall to the HQ. 🙄 Again: makes the world feel like a small open world map. And there seems to be so less stuff, that everyone seems to know everything. every location, landmark, population and so on [...] So you can really see where they run out of budget.... --- Also i dont like the heavy turn towards,, evil scifi company wanna rebuild and rule the world, the chosen and lost son returns and weird time travel - time-loop " turn and twist the show took. 🙄 Than there is the point, that every foreign people they meet in the real LA or the 1988 LA is just believing that story within a minute or is just like ,, oh hell, finally i know the truth. Thanks to you. And guess what, i ve just build the generator you need over the last years " No one is asking what the hell Josh's smartphone with the HD pictures is? In 1988? The prof looked at it like its normal and said ,, everyone could fake such photos.... " ( Ehhh no, you couldnt. Not in 1988) But than, what a surprise, her assistens comes and said: i believe you cause i know about the sunk-hole and those people hunting you. Cause i m 'n expert in time travel and oh wonder look, i ve got a book with the exact problems and solutions -one by one as you faced it. And pls talk again with the prof, cause know she will believe you and in her backyard she has just the machine you need to travel back " .... I mean really? ???? And the optics and the graphic design is poor as in every modern series. The camera angles take a lot of tension and good vibes and a lot of scenes amd environment looks like a fan-film. (Same as in other modern series ) In the end its ok. I have fun with it. I can watch it and have some,,good" time. Its better than modern disney or marvel trash or other series. But thats it. Its just mediocre and somehow,,enjoyable" 🤷🤷

    You called out many details that bothered me too. I just didn’t deep dive into those, because there were so many weird things going on over these three seasons I felt too much to cover. Thanks for sharing.

    @@MichasBreakdown Well when i wrote that comment i was just in the middle of season two. 😅 So thing with the prof in 1988 makes actually sense. ^^ But still it feels a bit.... well not really round enough. But i 've watched Season 2 EP. 7-9 last night and i must say: they re actually good. It was the first time that world had a feeling of meaning and size and the first time i believed the way story and single scenes headed. Acting and twist where better, whe had a focus on live inside camp, solving problems in camp, getting a glimpse of the NPC s. If the whole story would have been like that, it would actually be good. Than still it would be too much stuff for the setting, too much plot conveniences and stuff that shouldnt be the focus - but if they had done it that way like S2 E7-9 i would be more pleased. But i ve heard that S3 must be.... well exhausting.... Looks like the ran outta ideas and decided: OK now let them give them the monsters we teased in the trailers." Here you got a Pteranodon, there you have the bad version of the JP1 T-Rex chase, now two even bigger Spinosaur.... Well running out of ideas and budget i guess....

    I definitely agree. I liked the first season, but after that, it felt more like I was just watching because I wanted to know how it ended and had already invested too much time to give up on it. Season 3 was an absolute trainwreck! And some of the acting was really not great.
