Good thing to have around to see what happens when you turn on your microwave, or the food coming out of the microwave. Your Dad has the right ideas.

it might be 308 caliber but there is a reason they call it 7.62x51. commercial 308 ammo is to hot for this rifle and should not be used.

Just found this video, I own this unit. They are in demand in 2023 for a solid working calibrated unit for about $125 to 150 range in Canada. Got mine for 50 bucks a few years back. While people might not admit it folks are obviously worried about the crap going down between Russia and NATO in Ukraine so the price has been jacked up. I ended up blowing the dust off mine and taking another look. Thanks for the vid.

I also would like to know more about your modifications, I have a new 2023 P22 CA, and it's very picky with ammo. And even on good ammo, you still have failure to eject, feed, and cycling issues.

Living in East Tennessee in the 60's l used my model 37 ..16 guage full choke, shooting #5& #6 shot to take mainly squirrels and some rabbits. Down here they are also known as "half hammers" due to the position of the hammer, breakdown lever. Very accurate and easy to disassemble for thorough cleaning.

Winchester(Cooey original manufacturer) model 37 is one of my favorite shotguns and definitely my favorite single shot shotgun of all time. After Winchester bought Cooey arms( a Canadian company) these lovely shotguns became available in the US market. Nice video. I use mine for breaking clays and hunting pheasants.

I wonder if the stock in the 37 is the same as the 37A in (fitment) as in, interchangeable. I have a 37 shotgun in need of a better looking stock.

I got mine from Coleman's Military Surplus. It was listed as non tested or non working. The price was $19.99. I put a battery in and it seems to work fine. So I am ready for the Nuclear Apocalypse, haha. Goodbye cruel world.

You are all forgetting how good the Lee Enfield was with a bayonet attached at close quarters when the last bullet had been fired, in both wars the Germans complained that it was it better than their rifles. How about a demonstration of close quarter bayonet fighting?

i know im about 10 years too late, but in case you have yet to pick up the technique, hold the bolt handle with your thumb on top and first finger wrapped halfway underneath, use the middle finger for the trigger. this way you maintain constant contact with the bolt, and it puts your trigger finger right where it needs to be as soon as youre ready to fire

I have mine in a food dehydrator right now, I’ll probably leave it in for a day or two, but I didn’t weigh it. I’m going to weigh it when I pull it out. That’s a good idea.

Watched many videos, amazing their drill was "first finger//thumb" never leaves the bolt,, 3rd or 4th finger squeezes trigger. Also after 2nd clip is fed They don't touch the clip,, closing the bolt ejects the clip clean, so, more time to aim. Good to observe. Remember as a cadet firing "prone" position on the mound next to another,, short & thin bloke on a ground sheet,, after 5shots he crawled forward again up the mound. Range Sgt had a Great laugh... gave cadet points for effort.
