Why does our 2 year Trane unit sound smoother and quieter now that the compressor fan motor was replaced? We had a new Trane installed in April 2022. The Trane stopped blowing cool air in July 2024. ReddiServices were called to troubleshoot. Compressor fan not coming on. OK, parts are free replacement, but the labor warranty ran out in April 2024. Had to payout $573.71 to replace compressor fan motor and capacitor. Luckily, the A/C went out on Monday evening and not the weekend, so we just had to spend one night of hot miserable weather. Back up and running by noon Tuesday. I didn't think it was on because I didn't hear the compressor fan kick in. When the Trane was first installed it was very noisy. It sounded like my old York unit. It made me uneasy because it sounded like it was going to go out just like my old York unit. I could always tell it was getting close. But this was a brand new Trane unit. So why did the 2 year old Trane unit compressor fan motor go out in just 2 years? Are they designed to go out in 2 years? Is it just Trane or do other A/C units have the same issue. I know that the after market compressor fan motors last about 2 years. 2 years is wrong because our A/C is only on for the warm/ hot months in Phoenix. So they only last for about one year. Anyway, our A/C runs quieter now after having the compressor fan motor and capacitor replaced. Did we buy brand new Trane unit with a faulty compressor fan motor and/or capacitor?
So you just read the mfrs data, make random observations, ("the exhaust hose is easy to install"? They all are!) and never actually used the products.
Please stop using stupid add-ons like the mime walking by. It is so dated. Same with the cut scene sparkle out. If you provide straightforward honest info people will enjoy the videos a lot more. 😀

Imagine a world where someone’s AC is not cooling, someone does not do all these and instead goes online looking for solutions, only to end up with crap like this, and the imaginary bulb in his brain lights up, only then he/she solves the problem. That is one parallel universe where this video would be useful. Not so much on this one. We tend to do the basic shit first, and then go online as second step.
So many morons mislead the public because they don't know what an evaporative cooler is. First of all it's not an air conditioner and it's not ventless. If you do not have fresh air coming in and going out of the room it's going to turn into a Miami swamp land ! humid sticky and hot. Know what you're talking about before you mislead people and they waste their hard-earned money expecting an air conditioner because of your stupidity

this clearly shows the opposition is not interesting in finding solution to Manipur issue. All they are interested in is sloganeering and walkouts. Scamgress is like a vulture always looking for a dead body to make most of it. Be it manipur, farmers issues, women issues or education issue. this is what scamgress is doing again in parliament. They are disruptive, accuse ruling party based on lies and attack ruling party as not hindu enough and call ruling party not democratic while not allowing the parliament to function. Then they comeout of the parliament and say ruling party is not allowing them to speak. They not want to agree to anything and do not want to cooperate at anything and then comeout and say ruling party is not working with them. I still have our 1997 Rheem but it leaks in the inside unit so badly we are having to replace it with a new one. It still works but I have to keep buckets under it to catch the water
Worst air conditioner I every had and it lasted less than 6 years before the compressor shorted out! Mine was the GSX13. By comparison my old Day & Night one lasted over 20 years! Don't buy a Goodman brand! It's wimpy and designed poorly! I had it professionally installed and both the indoor and outdoor units were installed too. I recently found out that my retired neighbor installed Air Conditioners for the County most of his life, and he said he would never use the Goodman Brand because they were the worst of all the Air Conditioners. Sadly I found this out too late. Told Goodman on their Website about it's poor reliability and they never got back to me. Avoid this brand.

These reviews are virtually useless...they tell all about their aesthetics and functions but nothing useful about how good they are doing what they are there to do...namely cool the air...hopeless.

If you look into it further, the Whynter ARC-14S is NOT ventless! You have to vent this unit out.

And why is it leaking in the first place? Chasing down a Freon leak can be a nightmare, and require further equipment… UV dyes and lights, electronic leak “sniffers”, etc. and you stand a very high chance of creating a new leak by the amateur installation of those stupid “puncture valves”, or by accidentally puncturing any of all that thin-walled tubing. Probably better to just go ahead and replace the whole unit… the newer ones are usually more efficient and will pay for themselves over time in lower utility bills. One more hint - If the retailer offers an extended service/replacement warranty - get it. Manufacturers know good and well when the damn things are going to start having problems - that’s how they determine the expiration of the ‘factory warranty’. Not such a big deal on $125 5000 BTU unit, but for a $2800 35,000 BTU unit, - uh … yeah …
