  It's not as hard as it sounds. There's also a huge amount of repetition in the line.

  My bass teacher used this as a warmup for all my lessons as it forces your left hand into the right shape, still play it now before i play anything else!

  Hola Stuart, me interesa mucho tus cursos, me gusta bastante tu forma de tocar, no tengo idea de armonía y la única forma que tengo de progresar con el bajo es por mí oído y por tablaturas cifradas, con números que identifique las notas, las notas muertas etc...todas las lineas de bajo y ejercicios van acompañados de pentagramas cifrados?, gracias y un saludo desde España
