Sorry but it seems like people should just buy a regular audio interface like an Audient or something. What's coming out of DAWs is obviously lossless already. Modern, even cheap interfaces have virtually perfect headphone amps/converter stacks, but you also get speaker outputs and mic/line/inst inputs which you'll need anyway and you don't want to be using multiple different audio interfaces when doing any audio seriously on a computer. I wouldn't bet too much on audio producers and sound engineers being your biggest cash cow

@@questyle_official When I plug in the m15 with the provided cable, the phone does not pick up that this has happened, the lights do not light up. When I say rooted I mean, that was a possibly solution I found on my searches to get it to work. Which I did not want to do and seemed weird. I did see in the booklet that otg may need to be enabled, however the option to toggle otg becomes unable to be interacted with when the m15 is plugged in. It did not work when plugged in and I'm uncertain why as android 5.0 is a very easy bar to reach yet it does not react with my phone.

The M12 is still great despite the newer M15 being available. I had a "true dongle" with the same Sabre dac which indeed sounded great (different than M12, but really good), but with the usb connector being permanently attached, it began to cut audio off over simple daily use (no abuse). The M12 provides great sound and amplification, and yet I am able to receive calls and talk without a microphone, without having to remove the whole dongle/earphones combo. I wasn't expecting it would be such an upgrade! As such, for phones, I would still highly recommend the M12 before it's taken altogether out of the market. It is simply a very practical "dongle," and the replaceable usb cables make it so it will last you for many, many years. (What I meant for my particular usage is that even without a microphone/earphone cable, I can keep the dongle plugged in, hear calls, and speak through my phone's integrated mike. This is not always a given, and a PLUS for this awesome little DAC/Amp.) So, in short, yes it does take calls, and it's an entirely worth it audio solution, despite it being 3.5 only. (The automatic gain thing is not too much of a con, music is generally loud enough. I have a few IEMs that would also benefit from non-auto, but this product is too great to give it a pass just for that. So far, excellent buy.)

Does the M12 allow use of an inline microphone for Windows 10? I am in the market for a device to allow me to use an inline mic for voice calls on my Android smartphone and Skype calls on my laptop. (I am also curious if the M15 can carry an inline mic signal in the same way; I didn't think so until I read a review which mentioned that you can use an 3.5mm headphone cable w/ mic with an adapter via the 4.4mm balanced port) Thanks.

Yes, the M12 paired with a Windows 10 computer has no problem with passing along the microphone signal. The M12 will work with the inline microphone when connected to your computer, no worries. About the M15, no that is actually incorrect. The M15 in its base firmware does not support inline microphones at all unfortunately. Could you pass along the review that mentioned this? Is it possible the Gadget Explained review? Just so I can reach out to them and let them know of the error.
