James & Ellie's Adventures
James & Ellie's Adventures
Hello we are James and Ellie and we are from the UK. Welcome to our channel formerly known as Jellie Views. Myself and Ellie both met each other in college where we both studied travel and tourism back in 2009. We got married in Mauritius in 2018 and we have both been inseparable ever since! We are both like a jigsaw and we can quite happily say either of us are not complete without the other!
We decided to start our KZread channel just before the pandemic started to bite around the world as we thought wed love to capture our memories as well as make informative honest videos about different resorts and hotels to help other travellers decide what might be right for them when booking their next trip abroad. We haven't looked back since and we have so much fun bringing our videos to life for you.

We have just booked our first cruise - and it's this exact one for next year. Your videos have been so helpful and we absolutely love how down to earth you guys are ☺️
Thank you so much for watching we really appreciate it 🥹 lovely to hear they have helped and I’m sure you’ll have a fab cruise we absolutely loved it and now cruise converts 🤣
Hi guys. Did you book this trip from home or once there and who did you book with? Also, what month did you visit? Cheers
We booked the trip whilst we were in Thailand and booked through our reps at destination Asia. There were so many companies (outside of the hotel) selling similar trips but it was so overwhelming. We were in Thailand in December :) Thank you for watching :)
What a great place. Oh my gosh. The black Rhinos are awesome. Your sure had a room with a view.
We never expected to see the black Rhinos but it was so magical and a memory we will treasure forever 🥰 The lodge and our room was absolutely incredible 🤩
when your on the cruise can you feel the ship moving, do you get travel sick?
We both get sea sick when on normal boats but we didn’t get sea sick at all on the cruise. We took travel sick tablets for the first 2 days but then stopped. Would always travel with them on future cruises just in case. We couldn’t really feel the ship move apart from when the sea was really rough one day but it was fine :)
Happy birthday to you.
Thank you it was an epic 30th Birthday 🥹
I really really enjoyed all your videos of your trip to SA. Such a pity you had a spot of bad weather in the cape.... Glad you had a good time. I have subscribed and look forward to your next holiday..... and the next. ❤
Thank you so much for watching our SA vids we loved creating these. Yes we didn’t have the best weather but still had the most incredible time. We’re actually going back to SA towards the end of the year in their summer time which will be nice 🥰 Thank you for subscribing 🥹
That map behind you at the end is amazing! Where did you get it?
Hey 👋🏻 thanks it’s from a website called Enjoy the wood it’s well worth getting one we love ours. Hello from South Africa you Brits
Hello 👋 we love your country and can’t wait to come back towards the end of this year 🤩
Can't wait to see more of your videos
Hey guys, loved your videos. Doing this cruise 1st week September and also my first cruise. So glad I came across your channel as I have learnt so much. I have a couple of questions, firstly, did you take sea sick tablets because you normally suffer? I normally travel ok, but when you mentioned taking them, I wondered whether this is something I need to consider. Also, clothes wise, what would you recommend packing? I feel like I am going to need clothes for all seasons?
Hello, thank you so much for watching :) We took sea sick tablets for the first 2 days and then decided we didn’t actually need them. Yes we do usually get sea sick on normal boats but had never been on a cruise before so wasn’t sure. I’d always take some with me just in case, you never know! Norway can have all seasons in one day 🤣 so I would pack a mixture of clothing. Layers are key in Norway :)
Thanks for the tour. I’m going on the Iona for the Christmas cruise. I’m not used to the big ships and have been a bit apprehensive. However you have now put my mind at rest and the ship looks amazing 😊
Iona is a beautiful ship I’m sure you’ll have a lovely time 🤩 thanks so much for watching 🥰
The townships you visited were very near where the famous case of Anni Dewani was taken and her body was sadly found in Gugulethu
Yes our guide told us about this awful story, so very sad :(
@@JamesandElliesAdventures the case around her Husband was interesting 🧐
A fantastic video, thank you. Wonderful down to earth experience. We are on Iona in a few weeks for our first sea cruise. After watching we are more excited 🙌🙌🏾. Watching part two in a bit. ☺️
Hey 👋🏻 thank you so much we’re glad you found our video really helpful. Hope you have a fantastic time and the weather is on your side for a great cruise 👌🏼. We loved our first cruise and it’s converted us, just makes it slightly easier for future holidays now hehe 😜. Thanks so much for watching 💙
Such a good video! That lion moment was incredible!
Thank you so much. It was truly an incredible safari and that lion moment was wonderful and one we will never forget 🥰 thank you for watching ☺️
It's definitely red!
Haha he must be colour blind 🤣
Blimey, you guys are great, so natural and keeping it real. no flannel. See you on a cruise and I'm buying you a pint. Thanks for putting t his together !
Thank you so much for watching we appreciate the support ☺️ looking forward to our next one on Arvia in Feb :)
Good Morning, we are looking at Cape Town Next May. Wondering if this hotel had an airport shuttle or what other transportation was available, car service, or Uber?Lots to see in the area? Thanks and great video.
Hello, not sure if they have a shuttle but you can get Ubers which we used a lot whilst in Cape Town. Yes there is lots to see and do. We’re actually going back at the end of the year, can’t wait to go back! Thank you for watching :)
Thanks for an honest review, looking to go with P and O sometime in the future. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much ☺️, they are a good cruise line we’ve booked with them again for our Carribean Cruise in February on Arvia as we loved their itinerary other over cruise lines 😬. Thanks so much for watching 💙
There is a face book page dedicated to ducks on the P&O cruises 😊
Ohh kool thanks for the heads up, we’ll check it out 😎
It's mad to watch this back now. Seems like it was all such a crazy dream. Love how quickly the travel industry bounced back!
Yeah it does doesn’t it I’m surprised it lasted so long and I hope never again it was a horrible nightmare back then. 😰 thanks so much for watching 💙😎
Brilliant heads ups guy's we are doing exactly the same in February 😊 Ps. Can you get snacks during the day, like pasties donuts etc or is it meal times only? and is there anything else you wish you'd taken with you? Regards Howard.
Hey you’ll absolutely love it! To be honest you don’t really think about snacks you eat some much at lunch and dinner etc. so at the jungle camp they have a little shop with ice cream that’s it. You won’t get to stop at a little shop at all to buy things unless you do before they come and collect you probs best to do that to be honest. Thanks so much for watching really appreciate it 💙
What an adorable couple! I loved this video, which was really helpful and informative on what to expect and how to prepare for Elephant Hills. Really enjoyed watching and, of course, now subscribed.
Thank you so much it’s lovely to hear you found our video helpful and informative :) thank you for subscribing too ☺️
Hi your vlogs are so good you need more views .. James try looking over you title and thumb nails and make sure you have the country and hotel/resort name in there
Aww thanks Michelle, I’ll leave the older videos YT doesn’t push them I’ve done it before were I’ve changed Thumbnails and titles and views don’t change 😏. To be honest the country and hotel etc we should pop in might make the SA ones more discoverable 🤓.
@@JamesandElliesAdventures just a suggestion just think you deserve more views keep up the good work both of you 🙂
Thank you 🥰
Absolutely adored this video, fabulous job guys and wow, that scenery was incredible. Could tell it was a big bucket list moment for you both, I was welling up with you Ellie….love those, wow am I really here….moments. 🥰 Top tip for tented safaris if you are like me and hate the bugs, individual pop up mosquito net, I won’t safari without it! 😂🙈 When you do Cambodia, you must do Kulen Elephant Forest, similar experience to yours, but you get to hike through the forest with the elephants and watch them in their natural environment as well, was amazing. ❤️ Again. Fab video, think it might be my new favourite! 🤗
Thank you Beckie 🥰 it was such an incredible experience! Need to get me one of those pop up mossie nets that’s genius! Awwww that sound amazing in Cambodia will have to add it to the list 🤩
Looked like you guys had such a fun time! Shame you had an extra sea day due to the weather! Norway does looks so stunning too, such a beautiful place! 😍 Looking forward to the Singapore & Bali vlogs soon! 🤩🤩
Hey guys, Norway is incredible! You can’t beat the scenery, the extra sea day was nice even though a tad rough lol 😂. I hope our videos come out ok for Singapore and Bali, we don’t plan to out these out until later this year want to enjoy what little summer we have left right lol 😜
Went to this hotel couple of weeks ago, I pretty much agree with all your ratings 😉 The beach beds are now €8,- per bed. Umbrella is an additional €8,-.
We can’t remember this hotel really know it’s been so long now lol. We can’t even remember how much the beds and umbrellas are for the beach maybe €6 each 🤷🏼♂️. Thanks we don’t give reviews on hotels this was a one off we show people around and it down to them to make their mind up as you can’t please everyone in life right!
Thank you for this. Just booked to stay at luna complex
Your welcome I’m glad the videos helped in some way, have the best time in Malta when it comes to it, thank you for watching 😎💙

Iove your videos, I'm in USA, I've done 15 cruises, Caribbean, Australia and looking to do A transatlantic in February.❤❤
Ohh very nice 👌🏼 we hope to do some awesome cruises now we love them 😬. Where about in the USA are you? We’ve booked to do a Carribean one in February and cannot wait 🙌🏼 Thanks so much for watching 💙💙
Hi I am travelling to CT from the UK in October. Absolutely loving your vlogs. Did you fly there? How did you book?
Thank you for watching :) we didn’t we had a driver from Johannesburg to the lodge but it was a very very long journey so would recommend flying if you can :) We booked everything though our travel agents and they arranged the transfers to the lodge within our package :)
I've really enjoyed your cruise but it's sad for you because the weather wasn't good for you 😢
We didn’t let the weather stop us we still had a great time :)
Jam 1st then clothed cream because jam slides off of cream cream stays on top of the jam better.. don't know why?
Yes it does I need to convert James to the proper way 🤣
Don't be afraid to ask for what you want when you order your food because they want to please you it makes them happy too
Our waistlines didn’t appreciate us eating what we wanted 🤣
Fantastic videography well made 👍👍

I would 💕 to follow you more often will you be doing more cruising vlogs? Because I and my wife are doing our first cruise in October ( 2024 ) with hahm Morelia cruise Voyager I'm asking for future updates of your cruising to help us enjoy our future possible cruises.
@@stephenb9400 hey, we will be doing more cruises in the future for sure 🤓 we’re doing a Carribean cruise with P&O on Arvia in February we booked as soon as we got home from doing this cruise 😬 we love cruising so you can guarantee we’ll have stuff on our channel. Hopefully you’ll thoroughly love your first cruise and you’ll be hooked like us 😎. Thanks so much for watching appreciate it 💙
@@JamesandElliesAdventures Great thanks p.s could you please give a bit more time for your food part because they seem very rushed 😭
Apologies we get really awkward filming at dinner that’s why there isn’t much footage :)
Hi, I enjoyed your video however, we have booked room only, you didn’t give those who are not on all inclusive any idea of prices of meals or drinks 😢. Also would have been nice of you to have an idea of the location and what is outside the hotel. Be to know
Hi, we didn’t realise you could book room only at this hotel. We stayed at this hotel in 2018 on all inclusive. You can hire a driver for the day (reasonably priced) and they can take you around the island which I’d recommend if you’re not hiring a car!
Hi how was the walk back down. Did it take long. ?
The walk down was fine we enjoyed it and it took about 30mins :)
Im going to Malta in November is the roof top still open
Hiya, we’re not sure sorry haven’t been to Malta that late in the year before. Have a great time :)
We were on this cruise in a Mid ship balcony cabin, we were also first timers, and loved every minute of it. By the first sea day we were already looking what cruise to go on next. Great video, amusing thing the other P&O ship we passed as we left Southampton had another flogger we follow on it filming our departure.
@@tinysmallfryskitchen8610 I’m glad to hear you also loved it. Haha same we have booked to go on Arvia to the Caribbean in Feb can’t wait to get on our next cruise 🤭 yes Travel Blog Jamie was on that one 🙌🏼 Thanks so much for watching :)
