The Clash were an English rock band formed in London in 1976 as a key player in the original wave of British punk rock. They have also contributed to the post-punk and new wave movements that emerged in the wake of punk and employed elements of a variety of genres including reggae, dub, funk, ska and rockabilly.

I heard he was fired not long after. Is that true?
Wow, that is genius musicianship right there!
You guys are fired!
Rollins always gives the impression that he wants you to believe that he's a punk, i think hes more like an idiot
Ramones rip off band
Drummers are So overlooked
Uck.....
Never underestimate the drummer.
The lyrics however came from a Cracker Jack box. True story. A republican told me that and well they don’t lie
I saw two clash concerts, i still cant believe it. They were all that.
the clash sucks!
The Clash is my favorite band of all time!! 🍻☮️
So cool
Love the Clash, this song, truly miss Joe Strummer.
There is a shitload more to this story! Shortly after this he was kicked out of the band due to his drug use. He ended up living on the streets... if I remember rightly as he told the story, he was sleeping at a local train station in the UK when you heard the song that he wrote come on a radio nearby because it had gone to number one in America. Joe Strummer, could be a manipulative self-centred prick when he wanted to be. I think it took this guy years to get the residuals he was due.
LOVE that freaking song!!
And you wonder why america is falling apart.
The other video of this was much better
and then got arrested for distribution and watched his throne given back to the original drummer. Beginning of the end of the 'Only Band that Matters'.
Spun just about everything on that album on college radio WSCW 640 AM (Worcester State College) starting in 1982 and running it through 1986. Sandinista, Give Em’ Enough Rope and yes even Combat Rock, got plenty of airplay too. I love Black Flag, Misfits, X, Ramones etc. as well, however The Clash took punk rock to another level. Melding other genres like reggae with punk was a game changer. The Clash pioneered that and pulled it off beautifully!
Should I Stay or Should I Go.
Posers. All they wanted to be were the pistols, all they ended up being were the police. Lame then, lame now
He wasn't "like", anything! He/They, said, uttered, explained, suggested, indicated... anything other than "like"!
Great story!
I never understood the last line in this stupid tune.
Hey ! Didja know that Topper Headon was fired so soon after this that forced into taking a job as a taxi driver, he had to listen to this on his car radio as it climbed the charts. Learned that from an interview years ago.
God i hated punk. Still do.
When i saw Black Flag Henry petform LIAR I was pounding the floor with my fists screaming YES!!! YYYYEEESSSSS!!!!
Yeah, right! except communism and islam , eh? Henry?
Rockin the Casba
I used to think that way too then I grew up and matured. Revolutions aren't kind to those who called for them ultimately.
Awesome....but theres a lot more to the song. Did he do all the rest too?😮
Although I like the US release a little better, I was overjoyed the day I found the UK release sitting in a rack.
One of my favorites!!
He could have learned the same thing in a high school history class.
Cool 😎
And the sound of a generation was made.🎉
As long as we are paying taxes we are not questioning authority. We are a willful accomplice in our own service to a false authority.
Sounded like two tracks of piano
voici la différence entre Queen/ AC-DC / led-Zep et eux qui font du bla bla bruit . 🇲🇨
Rock the Casbah
Classic
This song was all over the radio back in 1982
Amazing
Just need to add some really horrid vocals. (Which i actually like alot)
Buy you are part of the establishment now???
When you work better alone
Rocking the casba!!!!
He was originally a jazz drummer.
Pushing back of authority / companies etc lead to Napster/Spotify So thanks for that
