  4age 16v second gen was basically a hi comp 4agze (big cast steel crank and decent rods) good for about 300hp with no internal mods, with pistons, rods and an MLS head gasket standard crank will hold 5-600hp. I been running mine now for about 20 years with about 350 crank hp engine still healthy with 135psi comp (8:1 static compression) across all cylinders running 20+ psi boost it has been tracked and run the 1/4 in low 13s at 109 mph so yeah I have to disagree it's an awesome motor now the owner of the GR corolla as well I hope this 1.6l can also stand the test of time 😁

  My dad worked for Toyota when they released the 4AGE series 1, I remember it was such a revelation at the time, punched above it's weight and most manufacturers had to play catch up.

  @@kuholgarage Okay thank you. I have been trying to design my own adapter plate, but I was wondering if you have another way. I've seen some people buy it overseas but it costs around 300USD or so.

  @@kynaz8217 we were offered an adapter plate from Malaysia, and it was around that USD 300 ballpark as well. I think that's the easiest way. We haven't as yet started on the engine so we will also explore if we can just make an adapter plate.

  best way is to open one up and verify number of teeth of first gear, third gear and fourth gear and correlate with known ratios for C52 or C56.

  Better additive packages in diesel oils? Maybe on another planet. The film strength of diesel oils are woefully below that of gas blends and on top of that diesel oils are less tolerant to temperature degradation. Just admit all you are banking on is a higher ppm count of ZDDP...foolishly at that. More ZDDP does not equate to more protection...it merely takes longer for it to be depleted Works the same at 400 ppm as it does at 1200 ppm. Wise up people.

  less tolerant to temperature degradation? the way I understood it, diesel engines have higher engine temperatures compared to gasoline engines hence the oils used for diesel engine should tolerate higher temperatures = more stable. PLUS, diesel engines are known to produce more soot hence diesel engine oils have more dispersants and detergents to combat this. More dispersant and detergent should only be more helpful to gasoline engines for cleaner insides. the only downside I see in using diesel oils for gasoline engines is its negative effect on the catalytic converter

  1NZ-FE is bullet proof engine but slow af. That 1.5 is used in my Scion xB and boy this engine is slow to accelerate and can ran out of breath in the Interstate highway.

  Does it fit without doing much to the subframe? I have the g4gm, was thinking about swapping in the G4JP into the tib rd1, due to strick laws in my country, I can't cut or modify the mount.

  With the AWD transmission and transfer case,lots of hacking on the subframe. But depends if you can locate a G4JP with a manual FWD transmission. Maybe you can make do with custom motor mounts. If that is the restriction in your country, this swap will not work for you. Swap over the G4GF 2.0 instead, or turbocharge the 1.8.

  I see, my current 1.8 does has turbo on it, just i think i might need a new engine since it has over 380,000km. So G4GF was my go to pick, if the G4JP was compatible with the tiburon without custom motor mount i think i can make it work.

  The quoted size of the throttles was wrong as those are gen-1 Silvertop throttles which have 42mm diameter blades. As for the rest much of it seemed correct to me? That aside it's always nice to see some of my parts in a video.

  I believe the AE92, 101 and 111 chassis have AWD variants in Japan, I would investigate what transmission and rear axles they run, and probably swap over the 2zz bell housing on those. But the proper transmission and drivetrain to use is the one for a 3S-GTE AWD and adapt it somehow, should handle a lot of power.

  Hi, sir pwede ba na gamitin ang PETRON REV-X HD 40 Diesel Engine Oil SAE 40 na pang flushing ng Gasoline Engine? Ito kasi ang nakikita ko na murang petron brand, iflushing ko muna nyan then after that ung PETRON BLAZE RACING BR400 15W-40 ang ilalagay pagkatapos ng flushing. Or kung meron pang mas magandang oil na mura pwede pang flushing. Thanks!

  2ZZ-GE is a better performance engine but more than twice as expensive and harder to find parts for than a 1NZ-FE in my neck of the woods

  You wanna talk about suck ass toyota engines how about the 1nzfe, thats the worst, the 2nz burns oil forever is you miss one oil change, the 2zz cant take boost and the v6 needs to crank over a million times to get a crank signal to turn on the injectors, then you have the throttle by wire where they tried to copy bosch but totally missed the point.

  The 'major flaw' is the lack of a fuse diagram and the dependence of several components (including engine start) on a functioning brake fuse? Issues were triggered when you towed a trailer and wired supplemental brake lights (?) Lacking a diagram - OK Towing - is it even rated for such?

  If your diesel engined car permits API CI-4 spec, puwede ang RX400. Since its a mineral oil, mas shorter ang recommended interval, around 5k-7k km ballpark or every 6 months, whichever comes first. Or whatever interval is recommended by your owners manual.

  @@pvdp2 If the diesel engine oil is also API rated for gasoline then it should work normally for your gas engine.

  In Saudi Arabia, the Galant 03-06 has a 4g63 Sohc engine, but the oil pump gear looks similar to a 4g63t Dohc! You can see it by searching for 4g43 sohc timing
