    How much RAM was required for that demo project? Based on the RAM usage listed in each instance of Opus, it looks like it required 64+ GB of RAM.

    Wait what??? I've got a billion questions? How did you get all of them to play together like that? You're playing 2 or 3 notes but it sounds like a whole entire orchestra is playing different melodies. Is that a setting or voodoo magic?

    In my installation of OPUS, I don't see "Libraries and Database", I instead see "Installed and Search". Because of this, I am not able to see libraries/instruments that are part of my subscription that are not installed. What can I do to get OPUS to show "Libraries and Database"?

    Hermoso y magnífico. Me encantó.

    I’m planning on making a song using many different sound sources, including Voices of Soul. Will my entry qualify if my song only uses one sound from an EastWest product, with the majority of my song’s sounds being from other sources?

    I'm not sure if it's best to leave the instrument reverb on while rendering the midi to wave file or to turn it off. I'm a little puzzled.I ultimately i kept the midi instruments reverb when I rendered since I used off the render without reverb but occasionally the sound file is clipped and the sound when I add the reverb isn't the same.

    Thanks Ryan. I still do not understand why you use different convolution reverb for every section . The opus orchestra was recorded in the same room so if I put strings in one conv rev and brass on another conv reverb, I would assume that I separate the two sections. Please help me clarify this.

  • @auralaxiom
    @auralaxiom25 күн бұрын

    So, I could write a couple paragraphs here, or just say--it sounds better XD. Ok, but for real, when you use a single convolution reverb, if we're talking "in theory," you'll get the same reflections sampled from the same location in the room. But the strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion don't all sit in the exact same place on stage. So by using the different IR's that are specific to their instrument groups--or more precisely, where they all sit on stage--you get a better representation of what an actual orchestra would sound like in that space. Yes, everything was recorded in the same room, but it still needs reverb unless you're going for a really specific sound.

    Just a bit confused. Where do I find the stereo delay plugin that Ryan uses on the Uilleann pipes around 28:00 please. I'm about to mix some Uilleann pipes myself, so a reply would be very helpful.

  • @EWQLTutorials
    @EWQLTutorials26 күн бұрын

    Ryan is using the Stereo Delay plugin from Logic there. There are also delays in Opus' Mixer, and most other DAWs have at least some available delay plugin within them.

    That's the idea: If you are in the soundtrack industry, i.e. video game soundtracks, movie soundtracks, or tv, you need ComposerCloud. It is a Masterpiece and a phenomenon. I use it to craft pop songs to perfection, and we would not be famous worldwide without it.
