Your negatives look quite thin. Try developing black and white film on your own, it’s really simple, and ridiculously cheap.

I worked with a guy who was a Huey door gunner in Vietnam and he told me he only wore what this gentleman called the "monkey strap" on his first day. After that, he and the others he flew with didn't bother, as it "got in the way". I can't imagine.

Well spoken sir. I wish your interview was longer, I am glad to learn your story. You all worked so damn hard while risking your life over and over. You kept troops alive while on board with your care and skills, . I hope most survived the war to go home to their families and to have families of their own eventually.

A close buddy of mine was a door gunner in the Marine Corps. He was shot down twice, captured once, got a Silver Star for dragging his buddies out of a burning aircraft. Unfortunately I can’t ask him any more questions about his time in, as he laid his bike down for the last time in August 2019, a couple of hours after the last time I hung out with him. Semper Fidelis, Trucker Bob. I truly miss you, buddy.

This is of course nothing compared to being a space shuttle door gunner. And just so I am absolutely clear that is a joke.

I was just a stupid kid When I saw apocalypse now, for som some reason it made me want to be air cav...hopefully a door gunner. My dad flew corsairs in WWII, my riflery coach was a green beret beret in Vietnam. He said nothing, but my dad could not haw been happier. I failed the physical due to bipolar disorder and depression. Now that I am older, i cannot believe my dad encouraged this.

I was on a mission 2/502 Inf 101st Airborne and I was sitting on the floor, feet and legs outside next to this door gunner...he was using an M-60, which all Infantry in the US Army are trained with a lot. He's firing into a tree line as we were coming in and the pilot banked back out ... this gunner went to switch barrels and on locked it and it fell to the ground... found out it was his first going on a mission in Vietnam and he had been trained as a gunner stateside??? I often wondered what he told his CO in the rear?

To be at exposure hanging out in a Huey at Lift off from a Hot Zone and Carry in, had to be a Tough Experience even for a "Gung-Ho" Kid. But the M60 was a BadAss MG back then even when you had to experience Booby traps, extreme temperature and insects, and the Real SURVIVAL things that the politicians just threw them into carelessly.

hi, the 109 was officially given the bf designation because the aircraft was submitted by the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke, abbreviated as bf, however me also works as BF was reorganized into Messerschmitt in 1938

Me-109's and BF-109's also have distinctive features that tell them apart The BF-109 is the sleek fighter boi (as seen in the video) and the Me-109 is the ugly duckling due to it's giant frontal intake that killed the entire design. Me-109 is also used in tons of post war WW2 movies
