    Found your profile out of curiosity. I’m currently about to graduate in 2 months with a BS in graphic design. I plan on working in my field for around a year and then making to switch to UX. I’m in Arkansas but can’t get NYC off my mind no matter how hard I try. I enjoyed watching! Just trying to get a sense of what life is like for a UX designer in the big apple 💗

    i’m sorry you’re dealing with this pain. I had a blown L5,i had a cortisone shot that worked like a charm for a few years but the second did not. i had the microdisectomy surgery and it was life improver and i’m much older than you. Lots of people will recommend things like acupuncture or a Chiropractor and none of those things work. cortisone or surgery should help you tremendously. Best of luck with it!

    Liked the insights into your day WFH as a UX designer. I'm new to product design WFH on a very small team so it's nice to see how others operate. Loved seeing your work station as I'm looking to upgrade mine!

    Thanks for the great content. I subscribed to your channel. I have a question. How do you find users to conduct usability tests on your prototype? Does your company handle the entire setup with the actual target users? Are you able to assign them tasks and observe how they complete them, or do you receive pre-recorded screens of their task interactions?

    Being autistic, as soon as you said looking at behavior/body language I was like...oh no. This could go good, could go bad lol. Am I right to assume that a UX/UI designer 'designs' and sends it off to e Wev Developer so it can be built? I have been looking into web development and wondering if they help with the design at all.

    Love your videos!, haha just found your channel today while doing house chores, started with the recent ones in my city (NYC) and could've sworn you were 2nd gen Dominican for a sec haha, and I'm a Dominican haha, still even though "Priego" did not ring a bell, you're definitely fun to watch and genuine, keep it up!. Teaching abroad is priceless, I myself thought English when I lived in Italy, kuddos to "trilinguismo" and to taking time to figure out life, seems like you did well. Sei Brava! (you rock!)

    I really struggle with talking to people and collaboration-- I dread it and always work alone in class. I don't talk to anyone at school all day, unless I need to ask a teacher a question. Idk if it's something I should push through and learn to do and deal with or look somewhere else-- can anyone relate? UX seems like an ok fit for me at this point. Not the most fun career for me, and socializing seems really hard, but it would probably bring in more money than graphic design (my current dream career) which is 45-55k.

    Relatable video haha out of curiosity what platform do you use to conduct usability tests? And do you do that work log for yourself or actually for work as a way of reporting what you've done? Thanks in advance! :)

  • @softtendril
    @softtendril Жыл бұрын

    I think she mentioned in a previous video that she does the work log for herself, but also to have receipts for negotiating a salary increase or promotion in the future! But I'm also curious about what platform she uses to conduct usability tests.

  • @GretaLunaPriego
    @GretaLunaPriego Жыл бұрын

    HELLO! Yikes, I'm embarrassed to be replying 3 months later. I use the platform User Testing. It's fantastic! My company provides access to the platform. And for the work log, I use it for both. For example, I will jot down things that came out of a meeting in my work log and then when I have a 1:1 with my manager, I will reference it to give updates. But I can also use those notes when I am updating a design concept. So it's amazing for both reasons :)

    Hi Greta! Love your content! 🤩🤩 I am myself in this UX Research field and been looking to see what you could recommend in terms of the laptop. As a UX Designer I wonder if you would recommend to have a 14inch or 16inch laptop to work on when doing a daily tasks, such as conducting or analysing the research? 🌻

    Hello Greta , as we know there are lot of user research methods to use or to go-ahead with, before researching.But most of us have that confusion when to use which sort of user research method or what would be more convenient to go with according to the project , so can you help me by doing a video on this?

    Can I just say, THANK YOU for creating this! We have a similar background - I have a Health Science degree and always thought I'd end up on a pre-med track...but also I'm a very creative individual (I'm a painter) and always felt like I was neglecting that part of me going on that path. UX just seems to be the perfect fit, I'm at the beginning stages of studying but this has given me a lot of confidence in the decision I made. You are awesome!

  • @GretaLunaPriego

    That's exactly what I have! The bootcamp is just to help you learn the basics. It shouldn't be your entire "experience". Definitely go out into the real world and get 1-2 real world experience under your belt first.
