I know this is really popular now, but 40 years ago when I was in high school there was this one kid Joey who was just a freak of nature. He could climb ANYTHING (and did... constantly)... He would have scampered up this wall like a spider monkey.

Yes, I know this. Do you see those tags on the start holds. When the setters finish putting up a route. The tag has the grade , the name of the setter and has a space for the climber to name it and write in their name. It’s just something fun my gym does.

As long as your feet are in the "good enough" spot where you can work off of it without it slipping, it doesn't matter much. It's more about flagging and using drop knees. Getting good at switching feet quickly and accurately enough will surely help though.

Extra extra info if you want: I usually warm up as slowly as possible while being comfortable/nose breathing. I'll practice hanging from each hold from one hand and 2 feet in the best position for resting, shake out, maybe chalk up, and alternate hands as much as possible. I prefer alterning and resting on the best holds, and then climbing in succession on the difficult sequence of the route. This specifically teaches you when it is appropriate to rest. This all helps getting used to changing feet positioning as you figure out how to rest on an easy route, and when to rest, so you may do it on harder ones! This also gives enough time under tension for the fingers to give them a proper warm up. Ive figured out personally if I climb a few easy routes in a row relatively quickly, my fingers aren't actually warm by the end of that, and I can feel it while climbing. All this is to say it improves technique, physically warms you up, and puts you in a zen headspace as you mindlessly look around while hanging comfortably from the wall. I have never had any mental commitment issues after warming up like this the last couple weeks. It may be good to note I also go on an elliptical or a bike (if your gym has it) for about ten minutes, raising the heart rate slowly and keeping it between 135-145 (just a comfortable pace with no struggle to nose breath, and little to no lactic acid in the muscles). After this, I warm up very light with free weights and bands, trying to get as many muscle groups that contribute to climbing minus the legs (should be warmed from bike/elliptical). That is all my warmup knowledge and experience.

Nice overhang, I bet that's great for experience. Looks like you could also rest very well right above the overhanging section, if that is indeed slab right above it (if you wanted to). I'd probably grade that 5.8 on looks alone.
