  I have just started using kerosene and I was just video surfing to see if it would cause me any problems, I haven’t noticed any drop in heat when I held up a painted part to the vent I could only hold it there for seconds before it got too hot?

  Hi , I am now running mine on red diesel for a bit I run 20 litres of kerosene now I am going to run 20 litres of red just to make sure the burn chamber does not clog up, then may switch back to kerosene 👍👍

  Use diesel most of the time You want to use kerosene every now and again to clean out the heater. The kerosene prolongs the service life of these heaters avoiding having to open them up as often and clean them out

  You shouldn't be able to hold your hand over the hot air outlet like that if it running on high. Yes, diesel gives off more BTUs than kerosene does and it doesn't lubricate the pump as well as diesel does. So run it on diesel . It's a diesel heater not a kerosene heater.

  Diesel has approximately 6000 more BTUs per gallon than kerosene (according to Google) but kerosene will burn cleaner in your heater than diesel resulting in less maintenance of the heater (more time between cleanings). I'm not sure about the overall cost differences between the two. Kerosene is cheaper per gallon than diesel near me but If you get more heat from diesel than kerosene, is the cost savings a moot point if it takes more kerosene to get the same amount of heat as diesel? It's a personal choice as to which fuel one chooses to run.

  Need ti adjust pump rate ti burn it at hottest temp mine sits about 6.5hz an 5/5.5 hzfor gas oil

  Mix kero 50 50 with burned oil.Will run hotter than Diesel.

  Strange I switched from diesel to kerosene an didn't notice a difference just that kerosene is a lot cheaper Might be worth checking the filter that surrounds the glow plug if that's a bit blocked will affect heat

  Hi mate thanks for watching and the info its quite a new heater , i increased the power settings and it now seems fine running on kerosene the heat output is a lot better

  Sure you got to alter settings to burn kerosene properly but I'm no expert. I run mine on Red. You can also mix it with red.

  Hi, Yes since the video I have gone into the hidden (lol) menu I have increased the power setting and now seems to be burning a lot hotter thanks for taking the time to watch it 👍👍

  Anyone try mineral spirits in these heaters? It's thinner then kerosene not sure what kind of BTUs it would put out I'm just curious to see if anyone has tried it

  Kerosene keeps the burn screen clean. That’s the only advantage. Run it on kerosene once or twice a year to clean up any carbon deposits

  i found exactly what you did. ran kerosene for a week and the internal heater temp reading was lower so went back to red diesel and is definitely warmer. I thought kerosene was meant to burn hotter but not the case in uk

  Why not just use red diesel? That is perfectly legal. I have just run mine for the second time this morning and am very pleased with it running on just white diesel, if I could get kerosene then I would mix it 50/50. By the way could you check your spelling in your title to this video.

  Hi, Yeah once I have used the Kerosene I will most likely switch to red diesel , and thanks for noticing the slip of the finger

  Will I have been burning kero for five years now I couldn't put my hand over the outlet I would have 3rd degree burns at full heat setting. I use 20ltr can a week and has proved it can heat my home all winter with no problem and now at 81pence a litre and getting cheaper now. I don't know about that heating oil your using but there should be no difference in kero, parifin oil, jet fuel, red diesel or road diesel its all the same only the price.
