I could split that super dry pine with my hatchet for crying out loud, put that splinter up against a wet 24” dia x 24” long sugar maple with a few knots if you want to show it off. My 25t Quick Attach splitter can split anything this can split.

Love the power...I just don't see the point of a 4 way. Seems very slow chasing down the small pieces. Be much faster to quarter the rounds and toss on a conventional splitter in my opinion

The only thing I would dispute is the half of a face cord, if each round was 16 inch you would need 9 to make half a face cord 3 chunks high and 3 rows total of 3 high to make a half a face cord. I cut a lot of wood so I know what it takes to make a face cord. Plus for selling some of that would need to be split down more. Pretty nice setup though I split everything by hand and at 57 it’s not getting easier.

That's the tradeoff, either fast and weaker, or slow and stronger. Cant get around it for any given set gpm/psi. This thing looks unstoppable. Itll do a lot more than that log in the vid for sure.

I live in Shelton, WA. Our high school athletes are called the Shelton Highclimbers. The cheerleaders could split twice this much wood with an axe in about half the time.

Hi James, how are you coming up with the 75 ton rating? Do you have some sort of aftermarket hydraulics or? Awesome splitter I just can't seem to create those numbers with the equations and curious what I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

I like the slide system and the kick stands for storage. I think it would be slick with a box wedge design since I'm after smaller wood.

Take a look at the TM wood splitter. Mounts to Skidsteer. Love mine. They are wonderful. The cylinder is not quite as big as the one in this video, but it has never even come close to not being able to split for me. Split oak, maple, walnut, cherry, locust, Osage, pine, and whatever else comes my way. I’ve splits oak rounds as big as 48” without even a hiccup.

Way to slow and way to expensive to process that way, I guess its ok if you want to play with your skidder and you have all day to mess with it but its not for commercial use. I stack semi trailers with wood and that would take forever.

I see cylinder mounted in what i would call backwards let you build the splitter shorter. That to me is the New evolution part to me and of course the shape of the wedges seem to work very well.

I just CANNOTb see dragging around 10,000 pounds of heavy equipment to do a job that a 4 pound axe will do ... SO much effort to align each log individually! ... And it so damn SLOW! :( ...never ming the HUGE expense, how long would the expense of, the fuel, insurance, maintenance etc etc would heat a house?

I think all you complainers have never really split wood have you? A cord a year maybe? I've completely burned through 3 37 tons in two years because 120 Plus cords a year isn't for your little Bumper Pull Splitters. Try paying a laborer to spend the time splitting the wood! Opinionated Idiots! Not all wood just pops open like a gift Dummies!
