  Yeah still gonna be salt and corrosion in it, you didnt get it all. Pull the powerhead if you are worried about corrosion. Ive seen corrosion eat right through the gasket surfaces.

  Are these ok for larger bodies of water like Charleston harbor, and saltwater in general?

  They are more of a sport boat made for lakes. So they would perform fine in a bay but would get less comfortable in open ocean.

  They’re great boats, I love mine but they need to update a bunch. Wash down tracks on exterior of floor would be nice so blood and stuff doesn’t go all over the side wall carpet. And the rigger mounts could be moved back, it’s really an issue on the smaller boats. Do they ride phenomenal? Yes but they need to update some stuff for sure

  That could be a fishing beast. You could take that 50 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. Thst's where the marlin lurk. I would need a big A/C unit on top.

  @@MasterMarineBoats But as an "ocean" boat ("Ocean King" is even in the name), doesn't it have a "V" hull at the transom? I thought it had an 18 degree hull. A "V" hull would be terrible for water flow at the transom, to the jet, right? A pad (or tunnel) on the very bottom would be best - is that what it has?

  Although pretty similar, the shape of the Ocean Kings hull is steeper and more aggressive. This makes it favorable in bigger waves and Off Shore applications. The Alexis Pro is less aggressive and will keep on plane easier on smaller waves.

  That's a beauty. I could take that 100 miles of shore of Mississippi. I would prefer twin 100's but that's just me. A roof top A/C/ heater would be mandatory.👍

  Ive seen a bunch of different boats over the years coming down the lower Mississippi. They come from the Great Lakes, Missouri river, Ohio river, etc. Some try the "Great Loop". Down the Ms. or the Tenn.Tom., take the inland ww through Fl or around, up the East Coast and back to wherever they came from. I've seen many to large or too small and fail. This boat is about perfect for that trip. A 15 hp kicker would save you on fuel. One couple that I followed and know they made it was in a18 C-Dory with twin 60's and a a/c heater on top.👍

  We went with a C-Dory 22 because they weigh a whole lot less, require less motor on the back, you won't need a much larger truck to pull it, and the alluminum boats dang sure aren't drafting 8 inches. C-Dorys ROCK!!! We get a 250 mile range on 46 gallons of gas. Have a great week and stay blessed. 😎👍

  So.... Would you discourage someone from the wood composite C-Dory 22'???? They're almost identical. For my needs, the 22' is plenty. But I'm sacred of the wood rotting. I know this clip is old... I hope you see this and can help. I want to use it in the Florida Intracoastal Waterway and VERY near shore on VERY calm mornings. Thank you.
