Thermoclines also develop in most freshwater lakes, especially deeper mountain lakes. Obviously, shallow lakes are less likely to develope a thermocline, but they can. Its common sense folks. Saltwater also develops regions called haloclines, where there's differences in saltwater concentrations.
Suddenly reminded of Pokemon 2000
Hughie come check this out. I got a way to kill ohmlanda - check out this water experiment
And the voice in the background: "This is crazy!". The proof of your education system's utter failure.

For those who dont know, This is density and temperature. Like Cold Water will sink while Warm Water will rise. The density is those with Higher Density will sink while Those with lower density will rise
Fenômeno de ressurgência. Acontece aqui no Brazil, no sudeste, região de Cabo Frio conhece bem esse fenômeno. A água fria do fundo tbm trás matéria orgânica. Pico de produtividade primária
The fact that this could be a surprise to anyone over the age of 14 is a damning indictment of whatever school system educated them.
I'm guessing these kids never went for a swim at the beach?
I remember the first time I saw a documentary (I think Blue Earth or something like that) many years ago and there was a scene where they were cave-diving and swimming through one of those boundaries. It was so bizarre and unexpected but truly beautiful to see the way the two bodies of water interfaced. Edit: Jackpot. Here you guys go. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lnyimpKfY8-nhdY.htmlsi=jAKFZyegzw1ey1x6
