Mary Soucy, of Bead Me A Story, creates unique Chainmaille items in mixed media from her Glen Burnie, Maryland studio in the suburbs of Baltimore. Originally a seed bead and polymer clay artist, she finds new ways to use beads, rings, rubber and metal in her jewelry designs. As a supplier, it offers Mary the opportunity to experiment with a lot of different items to see if they can be worked into her designs. Mary creates everything from whimsical and colorful flowers from rubber and acrylic to elegant rhinestone creations. Basically, she is someone who has a hard time thinking inside the box.
Mary taught regularly at bead stores and bead shows including Bead & Button and BeadFest. Her projects have been featured in Bead Stringing as well as Step by Step Wire magazine.
In 2020, as it was no longer possible to do in person events, the Bead Me A Story channel on KZread was started. This channel is updated weekly with new projects available at www.beadmeastory.com

Beautiful
Thank you so much my friend ❤❤❤ I was struggling 😢
Awesome
Thanks for the video, it helped jog my memory of how to do this weave. I'd made a bracelet years ago with O rings and couldn't work out how the heck I did it. I'm using 14G (1.6mm) stainless steel with an ID of 5.57mm. I don't know what that is 'merican units. I love how dense it is, the pattern only works because the O rings can deform. I tried doing a box weave with only that size of stainless steel rings and it doesn't work.
I'm glad it helped. Yes, some weaves just don't translate from rubber to all metal on a one to one. The sizes behave so different. I generally bring the AR down significantly when I do weaves with rubber. In this case it tends to be distorted when you finish the weave so I actually space this one out and give it a higher AR.
Awesome
Every time you twist through you pull the piece away from the camera and it unfocuses so i cant see whats being done 😭
Beautiful ❤😊
Beautiful!!!! ❤️
Thoroughly explained, I've watched other video's of this weave and they seemed complicated. You've shown how easy it can be. This here beginner is very thankful. I'm off to sort out my jump rings. Will subscribe.
Thank you. I'm so glad this was helpful. Happy Maille-ing!

You have a very polished presentation style!
Well thank you. It never feels that way when I'm doing it but I always hope that people are understanding what I'm showing.
Your hands are covering up the work.
You are watching an old video. Watch the new one, it's better kzread.info/dash/bejne/aKdhkrCgnsS8Ybw.html

Loved the unbalanced bracelet! I have made several as gifts. Just purchased the PDFs. Can't wait to try the new variations. Your tutorials are great! Thank you.
Now you can try all of the versions. These really are a fun pattern to make.
Where can you get the tutorial to make it please.
The link for each of these kits is in the video "description" which you can tick on underneath the video. This is available as a kit only, not as a tutorial. Everything you find on this KZread channel is available at www.beadmeastory.com
Do you use SWG or AWG ?
I use SWG for most sizes but AWG in 20g. If you go to www.beadmeastory.com you can look at each jump ring and get the size specifications.
