This whole album (Open Sky) is, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest ever committed to record. Joanne's voice is, for me, the most emotive, powerful, ethereal and yet calming and soothing I have ever heard. This piece makes my spirit soar, my body tingle and moves me to tears and I often have it on repeat ad infinitum.

I listen to this song often , playing for my teenage grandsons. They come from a brutally abusive background prior to coming to live with me. This song, Wave After Wave, is the calm in their storm.

A Nightwish fan here, delving into Troy's past before we were lucky enough to have him in the band. Wow, what a performer on those pipes. I also have a sizeable portion of Iona's back catalogue on order. Awesome band. As someone else said, Troy and the guitar player seem inseparable, amazing.

He's a master of his craft no doubt! I agree it's mind bending how he did it! I was gutted when he sold that strat and the black one. That was confirming his retirement but I'm forever grateful for the music.
