I'm looking for one that fits a hitch 2003 Ford expedition that will hold a tire and a gas can.
Did yall stop selling these? I can’t find it.
How much weight can this system take?
The RambleSwing has a 300 lb load capacity. However, as you extend the load farther away this should be reduced, especially in certain off-road environments. If you have a specific application you'd like to confirm you're good to carry, please email us at [email protected]
can you still tow a trailer/ hitch basket with this on?
You can tow. The UltraSwing is tow rated to 10,000 lbs. You can also use a hitch basket. However, in most cases there wouldn't be clearance to do both of those things at the same time. You can learn more about towing safety here: www.rigdsupply.com/pages/how-much-should-i-tow-with-an-ultraswing This is the hitch basket we like best: www.rigdsupply.com/products/pakmule-scout Let us know if you have any other questions
I have a 3rd gen 1997 4runner. Which ultra swing should i get?
Shoot us a photo to [email protected] but the Short-Fit has been working pretty well on a lot of the 3rd gen hitches. The Multi-Fit would also work.
@@rigdsupply6945 ok thanks. The multi fit was also recommended by your guide on your website.
I have the multi-fit ultra-swing on my 4runner and it bounces like hell going down segmented/rough concrete highways at speed. Any solutions for this or something that might have worked itself loose? Its to the point where I'm worried about the tire mounting bolts snapping from the force while on the road.
I bought one 4 years ago. The pin Is stuck and can't open it now. I'm going to have to take it off and put it to the side. I wish I bought this version :(
Once that pin gets un-stuck, we do sell all the components that might differ from your unit and most everything is backwards compatible. email [email protected] for help with that pin
Anything for a 2024 Honda CRV Hybrid?
Yes! Multi-Fit or Short-Fit, shoot us a photo of your hitch to confirm what the best option is [email protected]
I wish they would make this thing in driver side swing config
Will this be available in a swing to driver side configuration???
We're not fans of swinging into traffic.
Is this road legal in Australia?
Does the Tundra camera kit work for 2nd gen Sequoias?
Typically the connectors used on Tundra are not the same as what they use. Since there isn't a plug-n-play option for Sequoia, the best option is typically to extent the factory harness.
whats shown is the short stinger? Will short stingers work with the spare tire carrier if we move it over to another vehicle?
can we quit with the wheel strap and press down fork... its junk

Great shit man. Very digestible. Can’t wait for mine to arrive.
Drop your post with the bike on the car...for shame. :)
This takes an about 3-4 hours to install. I just helped a friend install and here were some key things they left out like all the comments state. I felt the need to tell my story for the KZreads. Let’s start out with the plastic cover. Peal back at least 50% back or more. You’ll need the room. Also when you remove the remove the speaker remove the speaker bracket too. It’s 5 screws/bolts. Once again you’ll need the room. Lastly remove the cap located on the very bottom /underside /of the door when it’s open. You’ll know it when you see it. It just pops out when you pull it. You’ll need all this space to run and see and zip tie the wire. Make sure you have extra zip ties and not the little ones they give you in the kit. So let’s get to the meat of this pia job. One way to run the wire and avoid the window is to run it parallel with another existing wire that runs to the right against the frame. Then zip tie it tightly to that wire. This wire runs all the way to the right and never touches the window. Once you get to the right elbow, followed the frame down to the right and zip tie to the wire or this white stationary bracket parallel to the inside of frame and stay on the outer edge. Once you get to the end of the white bracket loop back up under a set of wires and through the grommet hole/remove grommet. Once you are through the grommet hole you’re good. They could have shown you in the video which makes no sense why they didn’t…. The rest is straight forward. Maybe next time I’ll just do one of these videos…
YOU ARE THE BEST!!! Should have filmed it!!!
@@jessicayang9349 🙏😀
Can it work with Tesla Model Y?
We have a special version that works on Model Y and Rivian. Send us an email to [email protected] and we can get you set up.
Dose it auto lock at 90 and 120 degrees opened?
It has an auto stop at 90, and a lock at 120 that requires inserting the pin
@rigdsupply6945 thank you for such a quick answer. 1 more question. How far dose it stick out from the pin hole that goes to the truck.
There's 2 holes of adjustment on both ends so 4 total holes of variation between 9" of extension and 12" of extension from center of the vehicle's hitch pin to center of the RambleSwing's receiving end.
@@rigdsupply6945 thank you. Last thing, you said it had auto stop at 90° dose it auto lock it won't close ?
@@mnfishing4194 No just a stop, it can close at 90. You can also adjust tension to the pivot by simply adding some preload to the bolt.
Dose this automatic lock at 90° and 120°
Is it limited to 1 bike or is it possible to spec for 2?
You can run 2 bikes on a RambleRack, the UltraSwing can also accept any 2" hitch mounted bike rack
Perfect video to explain everything i asked for, beers can holders were extras
This thing is cool. Do you offer a hunting guide discount?
Thanks! Fill this out: www.rigdsupply.com/pages/industry-pro
I have a 2023 promaster that I recently converted to an RV. I installed an aftermarket trailer hitch and planning to install your product to mount a spare tire, and to hook my 5x12 all aluminum enclosed trailer as well. So for my applications, it’ll be the megafit right? Does it comes with spare tire adaptor too?
Hey Andy, yes. That'll be the Mega-Fit and you'll select the multi-fit wheel plate. Let us know if you need anything else.
@@rigdsupply6945 it’ll definitely be on my van for sure. Just need to prioritize things I need to complete the project. Need some door screens then going for the megafit ultraswing
I secured my bag exactly as detailed in this video. Unfortunately, the straps did not remain tight. After one day of mild trail travel, the bag was loose almost to the point of falling off. I solved the problem by sewing the metal buckle to each of two ratchet straps and routing each ratchet strap around the tire. I ran a piece of paracord through the webbing loops at the bottom and tied that to the bottom of the wheel. With this setup, the straps remain tight, the straps and bag do not move while going down the trail, and is still easy to remove.

Thanks for the feedback. We've also been able to keep the bag tighter by having the buckles be on top of the tire rather than on the front of the tire. Glad you found something that works for you.
Will that hold 40’s ?
Yes, our Mega-Fit version of the UltraSwing will hold a 40" tire
On a Sprinter B Van, will this hold the spare tire and 2 large Ebikes (77lbs each) ?
Hey there, that scenario is right on the limit or over the weight rating (250 lbs total) on the swing arm. We can accommodate the two e-bikes comfortably with our RambleSwing, but that does not carry a spare tire. www.rigdsupply.com/products/rambleswing-bike-rack-swing-out If you need the spare tire mount also, consider removing the batteries and we might be able to make it work with the UltraSwing. Email [email protected] to talk through your needs in more detail
Great idea but boy that’s pricy.
Hi there! Is this a Megafit or Multifit? Thank you😊
Full-size trucks use a Mega-Fit 👍
Hi there! Is this is Multifit or Megafit? Thank you
This is a Mega-Fit since it's on a full-size truck with 40" tires. Shoot us an email if you have any fitment questions: [email protected]
Love what yall are doing!! I’ve been trying to get in touch with someone at Rig’d would love to talk about a partnership!
This a great concept, but the back up camera is lost, man the camera is a must when backing up!
We have backup camera relocation kits for most vehicles. If not specifically listed on our website shoot an email to [email protected] and we can provide additional resources for relocating your camera. 📸

Rad design and build quality looks solid. I'll be checking these out for my Runner.
Awesome! Thanks for the comment
So I have this exact same Subaru and color. 2009 Forester. I went on the link on the description, and it looks like you only have this tire rack for an Outback. Do you not have anymore for other models?
Hey Jeremy, sounds like you're viewing our 3D builder. That is not a fitment guide. Just a visual tool. We have fitments for ALMOST any vehicle in existence. You'll want our Multi-Fit version. www.rigdsupply.com/products/rigd-ultraswing-multi-fit-spare-tire-hitch-carrier
Can I use it on Ausie Thorburn bumper for my bikes?
Most likely, email [email protected] with a photo of your bumper to confirm there's no compatibility issues.
Did you mention what size tools are necessary to tighten the bolt to the stinger?
19mm (or 3/4") socket for the stinger anti-wobble wedge bolt 👍
thanks!@@rigdsupply6945
I bought a an Ultra Swing for my AEV Prospector a year ago. Unfortunately it won't clear the right bumper tube on the rear bumper. An hitch extender isn't solid enough. Do you have a solution for this problem?
I love my UltraSwing, it’s lived a well traveled life in its almost year I’ve had it. Added the table, tire carrier, gas can carrier, and even a 5 lb propane tank carrier. I bet I’ve recovered six vehicles from ditches and mud holes with it even. The only thing I would want from it now is a way to mount an antenna, which I’m working on anyways. An outstanding unit.
Will this fit a 96 Jeep XJ?
Yes! You'll want to use our Multi-Fit version
So what are the extra 2 washers and nylon nuts used for?
Motocarriers.... The wish. The Dream
If only money could buy physics. Then dreams could come true.
All I want to know is if the swing out portion could accommodate a dirt bike carrier! That would be a game changer
A moto will exceed the 250 lb lload rating of the UltraSwing.
The hitch looks great on the Subie. I’ve been told that any swing away that works on them can also be fitted on a Honda Element. Wanting some clarification here before I order.
Our Multi-Fit UltraSwing will fit on an Element 👍We've seen some great looking Elements with UltraSwings. www.rigdsupply.com/products/rigd-ultraswing-multi-fit-spare-tire-hitch-carrier
On your tire carrier did you have to remove the Bisons rear bumper ring mounts ?
Yes, on the passenger side. We have a custom 3-D printable fill plate file you can utilize. If you don't have access to a 3-D printer shoot us an email [email protected] and we can quote printing one for you and shipping it: www.rigdsupply.com/pages/aev-colorado-bison-fill-plate

I’m really interested in the swinging bike carrier for my Ktm 500 haven’t seen anyone do it yet but your guys seems the beefiest! The double swing carrier is sweet
Although we've tested motos on the RambleSwing (and have videos to prove it: instagram.com/reel/Cu7t9w0uX66/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==), we don't endorse the use of a moto since the moto's weight with an adequate hitch-mounted moto-carrying tray will exceed the 300 lb rating of the RambleSwing.
Ever used it for a dirtbike 250lbs ?
We've tested it with a dirtbike over 250 lbs with a person that weighs 250 lbs sitting on it (you can find that video on our Instagram). But we don't endorse using it for dirtbikes since the moto carrier being used will be close to 100 lbs + a 250 lb dirtbike exceeds our rating.
Ultimate Mx hauler is 55 lbs and a dirt bike is 250 lbs. So it's just at the limit. Should be able to handle a MX bike.
Per 12" of extension away from your vehicle's hitch you're technically supposed to reduce your tongue weight by 50%. At this distance away from your hitch your vehicle's hitch may not even be rated for that. Our on-the-record response is that the RambleSwing isn't rated for motos due to being at or exceeding our max load rating while extending the leverage further out than a bike rack@@Tacoexplorer
@@rigdsupply6945 that's for the reply. I've seen people use their 1UP swing out for a dirt bike that weighs well over 300lbs they had no issues.
@@Tacoexplorer And if you asked 1UP, they'd give you the same response as us on the record. But here's proof why ours is the strongest: instagram.com/reel/Cu7t9w0uX66/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
You should sell it in Europe!
Thanks! Shoot us an email, let us know what vehicle you have and your address and we can get a quote.
