"I've beat women that are tougher than him" Great line. I used to tell this annoying kid I worked I worked with he was only about as strong as a lesbian or a gay guy but in the end he was still annoying and made a mistake that cost him a good beating.

Of course, WC was in trouble from the drugged up 'Von Erich' kids and was going down the shoot, so Lawler got the unification belt with Jarrett's help and after greedy legal wrangling, WC was gone. And I wasn't a follower of WC or Memphis wrestling, just a fan and researcher who loved it in all its forms.

The greatest promo ever. Love him or hate him, Ole was a genius. The turn on Rhodes, they just don’t do stuff like that anymore. They told a story, they pulled us in, and then they turned us upside down. That was wrestling. Today is Sports Entertainment and they don’t have a clue. I can watch hours of Mid Atlantic and Georgia and Memphis and can’t watch twenty minutes of WWE or AEW. Thanks for killing the business Vince. All to avoid paying an athletic commissions tax. f’n @sswaffle!

I know this is basically who he is in real life but I didn’t really know he was a wrestling heel before the official birth of the Mr. McMahon character four years later. I guess this is some sort of a prototype for the character.

It's funny to me how Vince hates Bret Hart and he wants him to beat Jerry Lawler and embarrass him in Memphis and he is cheering Bret on and on Brets side rooting him on to beat Lawler and then a few years after this he screws Bret out of the WWE championship at Survivor Series in 1997

I've noted this before, but watching this, I want to say it again. Not a Larry Latham fan. Watch a lotta guys give chair shots to someone on the ground, they will hit the ground with the chair to lessen the blow. Not Latham. He hits these guys full force in the back. He hit a lotta guys in the head, too, when they weren't able to block it. Let him take a shot, and he blocked every one. His partner, whatever his name is, was a lot less dangerous with the jobbers.

Can't believe Heyman made a stable from a throwaway word in a promo. BTW is this the very first mention of "Dangerous Alliance"?
