I just understand why people do not take advantage of Solar energy out in Arizona, with all the Sunshine most of the year! I would use it on a house that expensive,such a beautiful house!
Agree 100%. I think when solar programs came out, there were a lot of unsavory characters selling them. In fact, I just met an owner that purchased solar and her loan is outrageous! Too bad because solar should be more prevalent here..especially in this 118 degree weather we are having!

You pretty much get ripped off. I lived in Phoenix and actually moved to California where the prices were actually better for more house and an ocean view and trees.

I wonder what this cost when it was build. Maybe $20K at the most?
Funny that. It was built in 1959 and at that time, the median home value was about $6,000!! This home has been remodeled and has multiple additions, but it just goes to show you that real estate always appreciates... even if prices go up & down over a period of time and even if it is only due to inflation. 😀
@@livinginluxuryphoenixarizona Wow, of course, when one property appreciates so do most others... so appreciation is often only beneficial if you downsize, move to a bad area, or move completely out of the area. I'm not a "savvy investor" when it comes to property, but I do cautiously try to make the best decision I can at the time. My eyes are never bigger than my stomach, so to speak. Because my income has never been high, I REALLY have to make sure I'm safe no matter what. That's why it is so strange that I am able to live in the North Central Corridor. I feel like I won the lottery. I always loved this area, but I NEVER dreamed I could ever afford to live here. I used to take the route down Central on my way to work just because it was like a little five-minute vacation in some entirely different place. It was so calming. How did I manage to buy a condo here? Real estate appreciation! In 2010, I bought a foreclosed patio home up by Union Hills. I slowly improved it, but I came to hate my long commute - so three years ago I sold the patio home for a huge profit and I used the profit as the downpayment on this condo. Now my bills are much lower AND I get to walk around this beautiful neighborhood of fine, unique mid-century (and sometimes even older) homes, huge trees, sprawling lawns - even rose bushes! And the people here are soooo nice, not stuck-up or pretentious. It's as though we are all grateful just to be here and we know how blessed we are. Those who don't live here but know this area always describe it as "really good" and "very nice," but it doesn't have the kind of cache that attracts snobs or wannabe snobs. This is just a wonderful oasis full of nice people!

I just can't see the ocean from here, can't understand California prices without the California view or the tree covered hills.
Yep...I feel ya. Views of Camelback Mountain IS Arizona's Ocean 🌊🙂. Same sq. ft. + ocean views = $8M - $10M in CA plus .73% property tax vs. .62% in AZ. I guess it's a lifestyle choice. Thanks for your thoughts. Cheers!
