Could a kleen kanteen coffee flask (12oz) fit under it instead of a regular mug? Thanks

Hey great video, I got the Cup One as well as the Fellow Ode V1, but with a medium roast coffee I alwasys had a bitter cup, even on setting 9 of the Ode. Now I brew with setting 7,1 and 16g of coffee and it's really tasty. Any thoughts on that?

Thank you, Your turn around of the stick made me realize I can use my Select too, the same way, to make a pour over using the V60. Tried it now. Immediately after watching you do it! 😊

Excellent video… the tips (especially pivoting to use the aero press) are very useful. I’m sure that you could put a small French press underneath as well. Thank you for sharing this👍🏻 Cheers ☕️☕️

@@verenaj.1004 No… in the video he shows pivoting the water delivery arm to the opposite side to drop the water into an Aeropress coffee making device. I was just saying that you could also put a French Press coffee maker there and drop the water into it (on the opposite side of the unit). In my opinion the French Press is the best option for making coffee other than a high end espresso machine).

Yep, that would work too!

Per the directions, you are supposed to wet the filter before adding the coffee.

A detachable water tank on any of these brewers would be so handy

There needs to be a wide shower-head and a bloom option. Pricey that it doesn't have that.

That would be cool! The current head just snug fits into a silicon bushing, so it would easy to swap out.

Hi there, just ran into your video - as I just bought a one cup. Curious... how much of the 10oz water, for example, actually makes it into the cup?
@danieldekker7008 Жыл бұрын
10oz is about 300 grams. With a pour over I usually get 260-270 grams out, and this feels really similar. So, that's my guess not having tested it!

The left & right audio channels are completely out of fase relative to each other (probably by accident). This results in complete silence when you're watching this on a device that sums the audio to mono.

I have moved to this machine from a Kalita Wave Pour Over. I DO wet the filter paper prior to adding the freshly ground 18 grams of coffee into the filter cone. I also preheat my coffee mug prior to making my cup. Far less hassle than the pour over, not as much coffee, but the ease of the entire operation makes up for that by a long shot. A second cup is totally doable.

Interesting about preheating the mug! My coffee is always too hot to drink anyways, so I don't think preheating the mug would help me.

I wanted to love it I really did, they make exceptional product but this one just did not do it for me, for one, PA drawdown is way too slow and I was getting inconsistent water volume after extraction with consistent volume added to machine each time, honestly, my poor overs are a lot faster

Anyone know if you can fill below the 10oz line? Like can you make 150ml or 200ml?
@danieldekker7008 Жыл бұрын
The machine has a float inside to know when to shut off. You should be able to fill it to any level above the float and it will run!

What grind setting on the baratza encore would you recommend for the Cup-One, and for the aeropress?
@danieldekker70082 жыл бұрын
Oh boy, I don't have a Baratza Encore anymore so I don't remember the settings at all. Because of the restrictive hole at the bottom, grind coarser than you do for a pour over, since the draw down time is slower.

Any chance it will work with 12 oz of water? Or does keeping ratio end up pushing grounds too high in the basket?
@danieldekker70082 жыл бұрын
I guess you could. I think there is a float of some sort that determines when to turn itself off, so it would just run longer. I think 12oz would be okay but something like 15oz could like overflow the basket.

I can't get my Cup-One to make a cup anywhere near as good as my Aeropress. I'm using the scoop that came with it and filling to the water line. What am I doing wrong?
@danieldekker70082 жыл бұрын
Well, your ratio should be about right. Are you grinding yourself? The Cup One should be a coarser grind then you are doing for Aeropress. The Cup One takes about 4 minutes from first drip to being done. How does that compare to your Aeropress technique? I do a 2 minute steep for Aeropress, so obviously it needs a finer grind. I found it really eye opening to do a side by side test. The aeropress was richer, higher in body and my preference when the coffee was really hot. However, once they cooled a bit the clarity in the Cup One coffee really stood out and ended up being my favorite. I do mainly light roasted coffees.
