  Really informative thank you. Is there a danger with this version of the D5 of Aux Belt failure damaging the Timing Belt or is the timing belt now protected.

  Thanks so much . It’s not common but can happen to any engine , so never a bad idea to just do it now ! This was one has been replaced not long ago and the driver hardly does any kilometres so we left it

  Another idea - remove the rear wiper and you are left with a small hole. Look for a round screw in camera and install it into the hole. That's what I will be doing. I've just got the hole plugged ATM.

  Awesome. What if I don't have a multimeter? I have an alternative to test the fuse but if the fuse is good, how can I confirm the pump itself prior to establishing of it is indeed my washer motor that needs replacement?

  Hi there , you can either use a simple cheap test light that will confirm you have voltage & earth at the washer pump socket , or you can remove the old pump and feed it with positive and negative from a car battery from a car battery , be very careful doing that as the terminals are close together, don’t touch them together !! but if you can get a safe connection and it doesn’t buzz then you know it’s dead ! A power probe is a safer tool for doing this but not cheap

  Did a replacement yesterday the tip of taping the torx head into the spanner was gold! A tip I cab offer is if the belt is good once the tension is off the belt then slip it off the PAS pulley and cable tie the belt forward to the adjacent steel frame. saves so much trouble with dealing with the belt. dod the whole job including bleeding new fluid in 2hrs !

  Hi. Can you tell me if when changing the head unit the functionality of the Mercedes me app is lost ? I've got an electric Vito and I've been told if i change the head unit then I'll lose the Mercedes me app functions. Thanks.

  I honestly don't know how it behaves with the Mercedes Me app tbh, as my van is a 111 model (diesel Renault engine), which isn't compatible.

  My app still works on my 2023 w447 ICE whenever it stays connected as its linked with the telematics module not the radio AFAIK

  @@niceguy235uk1 thanks. I've changed the head unit on my evito, I installed pioneer 950evo, my Mercedes me app still works, (when it connects). Google "Mercedes me app not working", it's all over the internet, not reliable connection. Thanks.

  If you can get hold of some net curtain wire which is plastic coated ,this is very flexible and works really well feeding cables through tight spaces

  Jay B I just fitted a reverse camera to my Caddy and had to put a relay to power the camera when the engine is running and it works good but cuts out when an indicator is switched on. Do you know what may be causing that?

  Hi, Rodney is a wonderful baby. It’s unfortunate how close he is to the mini split air conditioning. Birds are very sensitive to cold air. We always put small heaters around the baby when they catch a cold or sneeze.
