Wow. The video of the hike through Patagonia is breathtakingly beautiful. The individual scenes of the landscape are very lovely and deeply moving!

Splendid. I was more-or-less 'with you' as I watched on a 65" TV here in New Zealand. Thank you for sharing this beauty and solemnity with us.

Another beautiful adventure. But my mouth dropped so many times seeing how far away you were from the camera, then on the way coming back to get the camera. That’s dedication sir 😮

Practically had to hike twice the distance setting up cameras ahead and behind you and then backtracking.

Great camera work! At first I thought it was a new National Geographic show - a trip through NZ's national parks, but then I realized it was filmed by ONE person. Bravo!

I've hiked in the Himalayas a lot and I'm also a cinematographer. The level of creativity is super impressive! I don't get it! In some shots you're so far out, I wonder if it's a drone shot or the camera. In those sliding shots, how are you pulling focus, does it happen with the slider itself or something else? Insane. I recently created a hiking film and watching yours makes me want to create more of them.

Wonderful! I hiked the Skye Trail in summer 2021 and also had about 50% terrible weather, including storm winds that nearly blew me off the cliff near Elgol. But the Trotternish Ridge was two glorious days of sunshine and the best wild camp I've ever had. Thank you for taking me back to this place with such stunning cinematography.

Oh, my goodness me! Harmen they are getting better as they go along. You excelled yourself in this one even through some weather that I have experienced in nasty storms when I travelled through Portugal and Spain for about 3 months. What an amazing island, it is like looking at so many different places like Hawaii, Peru, Africa, New Zealand, Australia (gum trees, bird of paradise plants, banana leaves, agaves etc.). The amount of work done by workers to channel the water around and through rock tunnels is amazing plus the walking tracks everywhere too. But what is exceptional is your filming and shots. You are/have really become a master at this. I am blown away (no storm puns intended!) by it all. Also, have you ever lost a drone!? Thank you again, looking forward to making my way through your next experiences.

@@HarmenHoek I didn't actually expect a response but thank you! I've done the Nevada falls hike at Yosemite and would love to go back. As am amateur filmmaker you have such exquisite shooting, framing and composition. I bought a bear vault because of you - it's a cool storage container for my dried foods and it's so helpful you can see the food inside and be able to sit on the thing. I did a week long camping trip on Oregon and Idaho and put my friends onto you at our Airbnb. Thanks, please keep up the great work at your leisure!
