Oh my goodness this is just absolutely magnificent truly inspiring. I have a very small yard and I have a broken up into a few different rooms, but this is some over the top. Well done, Bobby.
Yes! Bobby has inspired me too! 👍
I've always loved your show, but this was exceptional! I want to do it! TODAY!
Thank you. 💚
Great episode, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is great!! Promotes hope...
Yes it does. Thanks.
I was hoping to see more on growing food in home gardens
The information on growing food in the examples we provided is not exclusive for application in home gardens. But this episode was created to show both edible and ornamental options for growing in this region. That limits the time we can dedicate to single topics. Perhaps we will be able to spend more time on that at another time.
I love all of your episodes, but this one with Mary is special. Sorry she's no longer with us.
Thank you. Yes! Mary was one of a kind and every one that knew her, loved her. She is very much missed, but she left a great legacy. I’m so glad you liked this one too. 💚
Does not a grass mulch rob the soil of Nitrogen as it breaks down.....?
No. As a mulch, only the top 1/16th of an inch has any nitrogen depletion. This is true for any natural mulch. The source for this analysis is from Washington State university I believe. But, if you were to mix it into the soil, then yes. That is an entirely different scenario.
I love Susan's garden ❤
Me too! 👍
Awesome 👌
Thanks!
Enjoyed the video and appreciated the information....Gave me a lot of ideas. for things I want to try.
Thanks Charles. Always good to hear this feedback!
Where is this show now?
We have completed our 12 seasons over 12 years and now are only submitting new episodes to this KZread channel. New episodes will only be very few each year as we focus on other areas of our company to produce new content online.
I have a lawn probably about the size of two tennis courts. It and the rest of my garden has been organic since 1979 when we bought it. Even gardeners admire the lawn....yes complete with clover and the bees to match.
Fantastic! I wish more people would get on board like that.
Enjoyed the video and found the information very useful.
Thanks Charles!
Is the worm farm still in operation?
It is in transition to a new buyer.
This was so inspiring thank you for sharing with us about them, and their love of gardening and each other. I would love to see more from them, and how they use their greenhouse and how they do what they do! Do they have a KZread channel? ❤
I’m glad you liked this episode. They are a remarkable couple. I don’t know what they have been up to lately but they don’t have a KZread channel. I need to check in with them. When I do I will try to include a video update. 👍
Love this, and the emphasis on pesticide free land!💚
Indeed. She is a role model for us all. 👍
😃
🎉
I LOVE black currant! Would grow it if I wasn't living in the desert!
It’s a good one! 👍
I kind of sad to hear it. My husband and i dont sit down to watch the same programing on tv very much, as our interests differ. However, this program we did watch together and enthusiastically i might add. KZread on our devices, as a couple, just isn't the same. 😔
I don’t know if you have a smart TV that allows you to stream on your Tv but if so, you can watch all the episodes ON your TV from the KZread app that you can load onto your TV. I hope that helps.
Amazing human Ingenuity and empathy
Agreed! Quite an impressive couple. 👍
What size bag of soil less soil?
Craig was using 5 gallon grow bags.
How many acres is this land?
They have 2 acres.
The Humane Gardener has a different perspective on this. They are part of this planet, as are we. Coexist.
No argument there. But people also would like to know how to co-exist and redirect wildlife away from their food crops. It’s not mutually exclusive.
I’d love to see Craig’s favorite tomato seed saving method. I’ve seen a ton of variations and clearly whatever he does is working really well!
Great suggestion! Have you been to his website to see if he already has a video on that? Nctomatoman.com
Let food be thy medicine and Medicine be thy food famous saying and so true
Absolutely! 🙌
Been wanting to do this for a long time but live in Florida have heard stories of piles Catching Fire what are your thoughts on this
I rarelyhear anything about spontaneous combustion regarding compost piles. I know they get hot and in commmercial settings they get a lot hotter. But personally I think the chances are so low that it would not deter me.
What a great episode. Their story is so inspiring …as is their garden!
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it!
Is there a link to the tower one with wheels? I have been looking for that one. Thanks for inspiring us gardners to think outside the box. ❤
Try towergarden.com. 👍
Excellent practices
He’s the best!
What a beautiful love story, truly the Garden of Eden.
I think so too! Thanks.
Enjoyable. It's raining outside now, so what a great time to plan with Susan and you, Joe!
Yes it was! Thank you, Beverly.
Awesome garden, remember you on pbs, was inspired. But not until retirement realized the vision of transforming my overgrown backyard into a four-bed garden. Now have tomatos, herbs , brassicas, lettuce, corn, etc., my cherry tomatoes from last fall really took off, replanted itself, fresh vegs. at my fingertips 😎 now to get neatness and companion planting down to its art form is my next challenge.....THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR ADVICE AND TIPS.
My pleasure! So glad to hear. Thanks. 👍
I love tomatoes just started growing them from organic Tomatoes bought in the grocery store. Not much variety though need to buy some seeds from a good source can you recommend someone or does Craig sell seeds
You definitely need to start seeds from some good companies. Totally Tomatoes, Johnnys, Territorial Seed are great options to get you started. Good luck!
Thanks
Awesome ideas 💡 go back to nature she does it best we do not need chemicals
Once Upon a Time all food was organic
We agree!👍
Beautiful couple and story! I have to visit Chanticleer one day!!
You should! It’s one of my very favorite public gardens. 👍
That is one beautiful garden!
Thank you! 💚
This is one of my favorite subscriptions.
Thank you! 🙏
I've just recently discovered your shows/podcast, do you all still sell plants at the Alpharetta farmers market? I am now listening to the podcast all day while I work (remodeling homes) and just started watching this channel when I get home....yes, I'm addicted!
Hi. Thank you!! We now sell our seedlings during April each year from our farm in Milton. We have an IG and FB account. Both are “GardenFarmGrown”. Also if you want me to add you to our notification list for the upcoming sale and inventory, shoot me a DM and I’ll get you added. Thanks! 👍
I ordered from Stark Brothers and was extremely disappointed to get trees with zero branches.
Those are referred to as whips. That’s a typical mail order option and an Industry wide standard for planting very young fruit trees.
@@ggwtv they should describe them as whips - not 4-5' semi-dwarf trees
Wonderful story imagination and innovation
Thanks!
Awesome
Glad you liked it. Thanks.
Love all these wonderful ideas
Glad you like them!
Food for thought
Indeed!
Love your show your ideas and your energy
Thank you! 🙏
What a beautiful garden what size bolt cutters do you recommend for the cattle panels
Thanks. The longer the handle the greater leverage and the easier the panels will be to cut. I got mine at Home Depot for around $25 but I’m sure they are more now.
Amazing information. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
Im in N.Y and i raise the last generation of Monarchs before they leave. I made a huge front yard Butterfly garden 3 years ago. I grow the swamp milkweed along with all kinds of flowers. They love the zinnias.
Fantastic! What a great thing to do! 👍
I agree with Niki, hand watering is my time with the garden.
Same here!!
I started seed starting all year long and my electric bill is very high. Any suggestions?
I assume a big reason for you higher bill is due to the lights and germination heat mats. You shouldn’t need to use them all year. I sow seeds all year as well but only use my lights and heat mats in the colder months.
