    i see you paint these before assembling them I have wondered if some people did this as i find painting things when assembled really difficult old age & poor eyesight :(

    Can you specify what you used for oil wash? And was it only on the metallics or was it over everything?

  • @LordKingKamiGuru
    @LordKingKamiGuru4 жыл бұрын

    Oil wash is just black oil paint and white spirits/mineral spirits. Thin it until it reaches a watery consistency and apply it. Let it sit a bit, then remove anything you don't want with a cotton swap dipped in some spirits,

    By far the sloppiest painting and even more sloppy video & presentation. Why bother doing videos when you are terrible at doing them? You don't suck as a miniature painter but just because you can paint does not mean it is worth the time and effort to film and edit the process. I am under the impression you just hurried along with both the painting and the editing to keep the video to under ten minutes, which I appreciate and will not really watch anything on KZread over 15 minutes, but again, I couldn't get past two minutes of your slop before vomiting up this comment. Oh well, good luck, and get better.

    I don't see what you are going on about.. This is an ork vehicle they aren't the most precise creatures, so in other words they are fine being "sloppy". Also did this guy kick your dog or something? if you didn't like the video you don't need to stick around and force yourself to watch it, just say'n.

    Excellent job...but, my question would be...putting the whole piece together when painted...does it create an issue? Or do you mask, scrape, hope for the best?

  • @sternguardpainting2838

    It doesn't normally cause a problem but i use REVELL CONTACTA PROFESSIONAL GLUE POLY CEMENT which works a treat

  • @mooneyes2k478
    @mooneyes2k4787 жыл бұрын

    Ok...but, that's a plastic glue. So, that, 1, works through paint? Or do you clean off the surfaces, first? And 2, doesn't ruin the paint along the edge of the mating surfaces? Since plastic glue work by melting the plastics together, essentially?

  • @sternguardpainting2838
    @sternguardpainting28387 жыл бұрын

    i use it over the paint as it doesn't really affect the paint finish but gives it a really good bond, if you are worried score the area to be attached slightly
