  Manchmal damit nach England gesegelt zum Urlaub, auch mit deren kleinere Vorganger, der OLAU Finn. War wunderbar. Ich denke noch immer das es eine der besten Fährbetriebe überhaupt war.

  Eine sehr schöne Dokumentation,gute Kameraführung,interessante Aussenaufnahmen und gute Bildqualität. Als Reisebusfahrer habe ich sehr oft diese Fährschiffe benutzt wenn ich meine Busreisen nach Schottland und Irland gefahren hatte. Auch mit den Vorgänger schon...der Norsea und Norstar..letztere wurde dann aber auch als Truppentransporter im Falklandkrieg eingesetzt. Für die dann neuen Fähren PoH und PoR wurde in Hull extra ein neues Terminal gebaut,weil die Schiffe für die Humber Schleuse zu gross waren.Die Fährlinie Zeebrügge-Hull der P&O hat kleinere Schiffe, die noch nach wie vor die Schleuse zum anderen Terminal in Hull nehmen müssen,was eine Stunde mehr Zeit kostet.

  Awesome stuff! I wonder if there's more of these, not short clips or ads, but this kind of minimovies :) Sowy why did they remove those vessels from this route? Were they too expensive for this line? "Dad" looks kinda like general von Esling from C&C: Red Alert btw ;)

  there were several factors as to why the ships were sold. Firstly, they had received such a good purchase offer for the Peter Pan that they were able to sell the ship on at a profit; the purchase price was higher than the ship's construction price. In addition, the market changed at the beginning of the 1990s, the fall of the Iron Curtain and a recession in Sweden in 1992 meant that the ships no longer had the passenger numbers they had in 1991. The ships could certainly have been kept on the line for longer with cost-cutting measures, at least until the end of duty-free purchase on board in June 1999, but unfortunately the time of these beautiful ships on the line was over too quickly.

That's an awesome explanation :) And wow, i guess Peter Pan was either a real star of ferries at that time, since they wanted to grab him so much, or there wasn't many similar vessels around that could fill buyers expectations :) Did You have a chance to travel on any of these ships btw?

  Heute ist die TT Line nur noch ein.Reines Fracht Unternehmen da kommt bei der Überfahrt kein Urlaubsfeeling auf nur noch Massenabfertigung Dann lieber mit der Color Line das viel Schöhner

  Both the shown "Peter Pan" and "Nils Holgersson" still exist today, because they sail on the Amsterdam (Ihmuiden) - Newcastle route under the Danish DFDS company flag. "Nils Holgersson" is now named "King Seaways" and "Peter Pan" is named "Princess Seaways".

  Wo sind denn die ganzen LKW Walter Auflieger? Ist ja langweilig mit so vielen PKW . Was war denn das für eine Abfahrtzeit? 10:00 Uhr in der Früh? Solche Luxuskabinen bekommst du als LKW Fahrer nicht vom Auftraggeber gebucht.

  Very cool stuff! Might be too long and some shots are repeated, i think You would gain more views by shrinking this material little bit, but Your mix of aerial cinematography and music realy creates an amazing vibe :) I only wish You and Your camera could be around in 80s/90s to captured polish ferries and old terminal from that era ;)

  Bin letzte Woche noch mit diesem Schiff gefahren, Fantastisch. Man merkt einfach die deutsche Wertarbeit und die penible Pflege der DFDS. Alle Achtung wie die Reederei diesen Oldie, nach 38 Jahren noch in Schuss hält. Super und Danke für diesen Film

  Peter Pan und Huckleberry Finn waren aber nie bei Nordö Link / Finnlines sondern sind Trave - Trelleborg für TT gefahren bzw tun sie heute noch in xxter Generation.

  Sind die Finntrader und partner immer noch die Schiffe von 2003/4 ? Bin das letztemal 2005 übergesetzt. Sieht ganz so aus. Die Partner hatte ja sogar noch den alten Nordö Link Schriftzug an den Aufbauten.
