  Looks a lot worse than the NO Dodge fire. Both jumped the river, I heard. The NO Dodge fire is still burning despite all the rain. Those hot coals are really really established. I watched the fire jump from fields to groves of trees onto to the next fields on Thursday. It was hard to imagine how far the fire had spread up river from the original fire. Now that the wind has shifted out of the north, they’ll need to watch that the fire doesn’t get too close to 680 by the Mormam Bridge on the Iowa side.

  The only real traffic is along Highways US30 and state15. They are both well controlled by stoo lights. The only crunch times are the soccer moms picking up or delivering the kids at school. But that is everywhere these days. I delivered there for several years with a semi, and had little trouble getting around . The Platte River is just south of town, so shares a lot of the same scenic views as other Platte Valley area towns. And has wonderful rural area people ro interact with. Stop if you are in the area!
