Ive been doing this for years but i just did it with 2 4x4's and omg gauze is king.
Would've never thought of this. Just did it on mine that didn't come with a drain hole
I just fixed it. Thanks for the information brother🙏👌👌👌👍👍👍👍
just why do they design AC like that
what a great idea !! Thank you! I will be doing this!
I was so worried and disappointed after getting brand new unit but not satisfied with its performance now i got the answer of all my worries .thanks man you're a hero 🙏 there was soooo much water in it and get instant relief from yours tip . Have a great life and health.
Im curious if this window unit is still working considering doing this makes it work harder and prevents it from keeping itself cool. Only the really old units needed a drain.
It's still working as I type this. My neighbor who had the same LG, 6,000 BTU unit, had to replace hers because the condenser coil refrigerant lines rusted out and all the R32 blew out.
@@Boxfan2008 they could have had it tilted. Not only do the newer ones not have a drain hole but they're meant to be level, not tilted like the old ones.
@@george420 That is very true.
I thought there was something wrong with my brand new AC and I was worried because it was a real b**** getting it in. Thankfully, I watched this video 24 times and now I know exactly what to do to help drain that water out. Thank you
My LG has a rubber plug on the bottom right that I just popped out and it drains
The way they put LEDs in it, they did something similar with Brockton's last worded fiber-optic pedestrian signals. They used LED units for "DONT WALK", but "WALK" was still lit by a halogen bulb, so it wasn't as bright. There's another intersection here with National Sign & Signal fiber-optic hand/man inserts where they did the same thing.
Mine got so filled up with water that on low fan, it almost didn’t even run at all
Worked great thank you so much
Thank you for this video. :)
Thank you. I just bought a new window unit because last years is full of mold. I was just wondering because it's a 2nd story window (no walk-up access) maybe I could use a piece of shower curtain instead of gauze.
You could certainly try it, it just needs to be of a wicking material. Microfiber cloth, perhaps?
Some airconditioning units are designed w/o drain, it's purpose is to splash the water to the condenser, it can cooldown the condenser resulting to better cooling and lower operating pressure and lower energy consumption, you may consult the manufacturer.
THANKS IT DEFINITELY WORKED ..SAVED ME MONEY ..THANKS SO MUCH
"Oh stupid finger "😂 t'was funny
Can you please tell me the brand & the exact size Gauze Sponges that I should buy so I can put it on the back of my Frigidaire window air conditioner?
I never thought of furry can own a Toyota Camry 😂😂
It looks like your units are pretty level. Thats wrong, a window unit should be angled at about 5 degree tilt downward on the outside of the unit. So the window AC will drain properly. FYI.
I was thinking the exact opposite, "why is the unit not straight, and leaning backside!!!"
I miss her

Easier to drill a hole. Have you ever needed the warranty on a window AC unit?
Holes are definitely easier. This unit now has one lol but at the time of this filming, the unit was a week old. I have only had to use the warranty once, when a Kenmore unit's board fried.
This video was my childhood since 2014
Since the grills are missing, can make new ones out of egg crate material similar to what’s used on intake ducts in office buildings etc. Not entirely correct for a Lakewood, but is better than nothing.
Old, old video, but my guess is you put a lighter blade on a different fan with a more powerful motor.
Better than my Grandmother's bukkake funeral.
Hey GREAT IDEA. I just did that, and it's now draining lol
I dont know what their suit is, but its so adorable holy hell
I had a stream behind my house that just dried up a week ago. Very dry last summer and low snowfall this winter. It's the middle of February now with no snow on the ground. We usually have feet of snow this time of year in Minnesota. Will my creek ever come back to normal, or is it now only a dry run that storms will temporarily fill up and stop flowing again??
Thank you for this advice. Works
the king of fans looks good with the windchimes on it.
How is it 96F, 88% relative humidity with a 72F dewpoint??? Either it’s 96F, 88% humidity, and dewpoint is 92F. Or, it’s 96F, 72F dewpoint, and 46% humidity. Given the the highest dewpoint ever recorded on earth was 95F, I think it was 46% humidity and you were using the humidity reading. from 7 or 8 AM
Starts faster than my 2016 Suzuki. 90s cars are the best. Especially Toyota.
It worked!! Thanks so much!

Hi 🎉❤🎉❤
what's the world's aspect on contry redneck kids
I hope this isn’t a fire hazard
why is it soo adorable!!!
seems fun
Sniper:
dont do this. this type of window type aircon is called no drip . the water at the reservoir is part of the cooling process. water cause by the condensation goes to that reservoir so that part of blade fan splash it to the heated coil at the back to cool it. and partly will evaporate as well.
@10:10 AoE attack! Huzzah!
Rain is entering my unit and coming into the house. There's a little hole that is at the back near the bottom of the unit, so i think when the base of the unit fills with water it goes through the hole and into my home. I was about to drill a hole so it can drip especially with downpours. Idk if tilting the ac back will help
Thank you. Just bought one and did not know there was no way to drain it and was thinking of drilling. Tried your method and it works like a charm. I live right on the Gulf of Mexico and my LGs drain 3 to 5 gallons a day in the hot humid Summer.
And now post 10 is linked to this entire channel...small world...
How so? Just curious
