Ohhh I had heard this song before, but I started looking for it in the movie grow up with Adán sander . And it reminded me of the first time I heard it.

So strange how some songs stick in your mind. Today is the first time I've heard it since it came out over 40 years ago, but for some random reason I found myself humming bits of it-maybe I was listening to something else recently that reminded me of it. Had to work my way through his eighties singles listed on Wiki to find it as I couldn't even remember what it was called. Not bad at all-better than the other very crappy 80s solo efforts that I came across. This'll do me for another 40 years.

Amusing clip, notably when BW pretends quitting band nothing he can't handle. SN & especially MF prove no hard feelings, at least! Good song.

Poor man - so much talent that he then gets hammered for being awarded top R&B awards. I think, can't recall, that only Stevie Wonder came out to support him and say soul is soul regardless of race. Black radio has been playing the singles and his album before these awards so they were happy to listen to the amazing tunes but not to this extent.
