Ayelet Ori Benita is an Israeli percussionist, vocalist and composer committed to the holistic rhythmical creation while seeking for a true and deep dialog between the voice, the percussion, the beats and the melody.
Her compositions are influenced by North-African traditional Jewish music and classical Arabic music, adding a very personal message laced with an impressive technical ability and a special feminine style.
The lyrics are fragments of Hebrew and Arabic texts which she modulates and sings as rhythmical layers.
Benita just finished recording her debut solo album which will be released later this year.
Ayelet was educated by virtuoso percussionists Zohar Fresco and Yshai Afterman and has being performing in Israel and Europe with different ensembles and as a solo artist.

Lovely! Very touching to my soul.
A dark feeling, though impressive. Good job
Excellent, thank you! Your chant-singing is lovely, evocative, very reminiscent of dhrupad music, for example, Pelva Naik's performances. kzread.info/dash/bejne/loxkqK-uoMXQnqg.html
