I've been riding motorbikes since my dad took the stabilisers of my push bike at 2 and half years old, before launching me on my Italjet 50cc motorbike. Honest reviews from a London born, cockney.

    Great review. These are not commonly available here in NZ. I rode the original Pirelli Phantoms in the 1980s on a couple of bikes. Grip was good but they weaved like crazy and the same applies to them now on the T120. Currently running Pirelli Sport Demons which feel pretty good after a few kms, time will tell.

    Were you trying to get footage of the waterfalls? Did you have to pay a fine to get your drone back? I’m visiting in November

  • @ToniReviews
    @ToniReviews2 күн бұрын

    @@destinationdezz1588 no I didn’t fly it anywhere near the waterfall.min fact there is a no drone sign down at the waterfall. It was a very long and scary at times interrogation procedure.which lasted a few hours. In the end I asked for the embassy and not long after that I was released. If flying a drone make sure your not near any built up areas especially cities etc. tbh a drone could be used as an excuse to pull you so just be careful. Especially if you’re near the border. I wouldn’t fly if your very near the border as we were in ban gioc. That was a silly mistake on my part.

  • @ToniReviews

    @@destinationdezz1588 they are ok to be flown but the police may use any excuse to pull you over. Also at the waterfall there is a clear sign of no drones. Being so close to the border (as the waterfall is both Chinese and Vietnamese) then you don’t want to end up in Chinese air space. I’ve seen drone footage there too, but there are clear signs no drones at that spot. You will seee when you go. It’s a shame I know as you want to capture memories. Drones are legal especially the smaller ones, but you just have to make sure it’s in open space and if there’s any signs then stick to that too. Which I did but still got pulled, so just be prepared if that does happen.

    Thanks for this. I was interested but after giving it some thought I don't like the idea for two reasons: 1) electric cars are cheap to run, electric bikes are cheap to run, but also non electric are cheap to run. So no cost saving on usage. 2) it's quiet. When I'm on a bike I want people to hear me as there's a good chance they can't see me. If I was on a CBT I'd get it for its looks. Otherwise I'd recommend getting a used triumph thruxton for the same money

    An effect of installing a Tec X-pipe on my T120 is a very noticeable reduction in perceived heat. This is really welcome in my hot desert climate. The installation took me most of a weekend. Be sure you have the tools and confidence needed to so the job. I'm getting the same sound as stock, just more of it. Overall, I'm happy with the swap.

  • @ToniReviews

    @@tsmgguy thanks for sharing. It’s hard to judge the heat on the street twin with no gauge. Straight away I noticed the sound difference when paired with the tec end cans. It’s not a difficult job, although I would say it can be slightly tricky in places but nothing too major, just looks intimidating from the outset but literally a few bolts. You mention a hot desert climate. Whereabouts are you based? 👍

    You keep talking about it not being economical, but the reality is that an annual zone 1-6 travelcard (the distances most users would be doing) is £3,120. Or £299 a month. You can get the RM1 on hire purchase for about £100 a month - so immediately it's cheaper than the tube.

  • @ToniReviews
    @ToniReviews29 күн бұрын

    You make a Good point but the reason I say economical is because you couldn’t ride this outside zone 2. Getting out into the hustle of outer London this thing wouldn’t survive, hence the need for other ways to get around. I would love to see a test ride from central London out to uxbridge or alike travelling through the major arterial routes. As a long time motorcyclist living in a pretty hectic part of London navigating daily main arterial routes I speak from experience when I say this isn’t economical, mainly on the basis it isn’t practical if you have to navigate these types of routes. Hope that makes more sense

    It's a very similar arrangement on the M.V Pont Aven though I don't remember that having those bench seats outside the seating room. We used to 'rough it' on the overnight Plymouth-Roscoff run and oh boy it was tough going. The seating room was packed and everyone was snoring. Sometimes just by chance they'd all snore in unison like a choir! So we went searching for somewhere else where we could lie down but there was a hireded singer in the bar with a loud squeeky microphone that you could hear from everywhere and she kept singing for hours so that idea didn't work either. My wife eventually nodded off back in the seating room but I spent the night outside watching the boats go by. I got cold and wet but it wasn't too bad. On another trip there was a crowd of loud people roaming the decks who seemed oblivious to everyone else though after a few hours the captain came down and gave then a right ticking off. And there's more but I wont go on.. So nowadays we always get a room - lovely!

    Hi. Thanks so much for the words of support. I really put a lot into this series so I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I’ve been wondering what I could do to promote the series, but it seems my reviews do better than the adventures and I thinks it to do with the original meta tags I used to set up my channel. I’d be interested in knowing more on the paid service, the only stuff I’ve seen is so called experts on fiver, which hasn’t really worked previously. Re Thailand I’ve been a good few times and is on my list to revisit and do a motorcycle trip so maybe I’ll give you a shout when I return 👍 thanks for the words of encouragement and I’ll check your channel out too. I’m a 63 year old Coventry kid living in Throop Dorset. I drive electric and ride a E Bike.🚲. I really like these Motorcycles especially the faster one. I would own one tomorrow for cruising around Dorset. 1 thing I would mention is battery cold weather performance. My car battery range drops like a brick during cold weather but I’m running a heater as well in a car. So try and keep your motorcycle battery at room temp if possible before your journey. It will make all the difference for performance and range. Great looking bike anyway, I’d love one sat in my garage. 👍

    Thanks for your opinions. All reviews on KZread and alike will be subjective and I don’t try to hide that fact. Having ridden many tyres on various bikes over the 25 years I’ve been riding part of my reason for choosing the heidenau tyres was styling, but if they didn’t perform I’d have quickly swapped them out for a different compound. In my personal experience these tyres are fantastic in the dry, capable of taking on quite a lot of abuse. As mentioned I think they’re terrible in the wet, but now I’m older I’m more of a fair weather rider. I also mention this in the review. Hope this helps
