I just sanded my head down on a 3/4 inch sheet of glass and sandpaper (Redneck milling machine) to save myself $500. Lapped new valves and lashed them. Put it all back in and started it up. Ran like new. But water was still getting in my oil. Turns out I have a cracked block. low comp in one cylinder. This video is so descriptive for a complete swap. I already have a new block. So this is a life saver for this upcoming weekend! Thanks for giving us this detailed tutorial! You got my like and Sub!

Gen1 drivers door wiring harness 25 pin connector going into the door from the jam, the wires famously breaking breaking off the pins. There was guy making replacement 'pigtails' for the jam side of the harness as the door harness connector seldom seems to have problems; 100 bucks; solder or crimp yourself. Thanks!

same here, even though i have good crankcase vacuum, they can just wear out. i have a turbo boost and vacuum gauge now so i can see at a glance if its pulling vacuum.

i love your channel but how the heck are you reading these as "around 1 ohm"? when they are clearly around 0.6 ohms. Confusing video.

Can you show how to fix the wire? You just wrap it with tape then use open fire to remove the moisture?

Just got done doing mine. Thank you for such and excellent video. Your attention to how the fuel line clips work is a life saver and made this job possible for me. My truck no longer bogs down and kicks under load. It just down shifts, revs up and goes. 272,000 miles on mine. So happy I had it properly undercoated when I got it, plus its a Florida truck so no serious salt here. Thank you again !!!

Look under the steering, remove 4 13 mm volts, when you do that the steering column will be resting on the seat. a lot easier, all the screws will be right there on top easily accessible I can fit my whole arm on top with a quarter inch ratchet in my hand and still have plenty of room.

So good video. I have a question, I have heard is better to do the last tightening with the weel on the floor level, to aboid a wrong tension adjustment. It doesnt make too much sense to me, but maybe you cam answer it. I have to repair it, yesterday I found out one of them is torn. Thanks a lot

I'm thinking the next job might be the timing chain which may be above my pay grade, unless you make a video about it :)
