The hotel was built in 1861 and was originally named The Terminus Hotel and was later known as The Club Hotel before taking on the name of the Imperial Hotel which still remains. The Imperial hotel was sold in Sept 2014 and the building and surrounding gardens are slowly degrading since being closed permanently in 2014. The pub in town (Picton) purchased it to stop any competition plus the additional pokie licenses, this widely known by the locals. It is a shame as it is heritage listed and nothing will get done and there goes another piece of history. The wooden building on the other side of the driveway was used as the bottle shop. You would find on a Friday and sat night there would be bands and musicians, etc playing, it used to be great place also for food.
Thanks Cheryl😁 I remember visiting it when I lived in Picton. So I was surprised to see it closed. I agree. It's a shame it is being allowed to fall into disrepair. The more people who are aware of it the better chance it will survive!

He only looked a little bit close. Reading between the lines I'd say his brain was on auto pilot, rather than anything personal. I wouldn't have accelerated just for that.

I've been driving for 30 years in Sydney and I see this daily. Basically, he's a reckless/aggressive/asshole driver - a common sighting in NSW. In my opinion, you also shouldn't have merged back to the left so soon without checking your rear view mirror first. If you checked your rear view mirror, you would see that he's accelerating to overtake. As your went back to the left lane he had to go to the shoulder to avoid a collision. He should have slowed down instead of accelerating. The insurance company would probably have placed you at fault if there was an accident because your car was still between two lanes and his car was fully in the lane.
Hi! I see your point but.... I'll throw some extra info in and let me know if you think differently. I was doing the speed limit of 100 kph(62 mph for my American viewers). I reckon my indicator makes a noise at the same time he moves left and he is accelerating hard. I reckon I was in the right. His move was outrageous! Interested to hear from the KZread jury😁😁
I strongly disagree with you on insurance because Honda driver was driving reckless in that manners. Dash cam driver has proof for this action.
I agree with 00VII ... I think insurance would say other driver was driving dangerously. Don't forget the tailgating footage from just before. Plus his speeding. If there had been an accident I would have called the police. So what would the verdict of the police have been? That would most likely decide the insurance companies verdict I think. What do you think?
I’ve implemented a new free brake check system for morons who tailgate me because nothing pisses me off more. First brake check is with the pedal so they get a tail light warning & then if they don’t get the hint & keep doing it, they get the hand brake. Technically it'sa three-point Brake Check system as I’ve ordered a sticker that says “Tailgaters receive free Brake Check” Also I hate when they do what they did here only to turn off the free way 200 meters later…

There will always be 2 arguments. 1 is the “impatient “ driver should maybe have not overtaken the white car knowing he’d be taking the exit 500 metres ahead. The other is that when you both overtook the white car, impatient pulled back into the left lane leaving a reasonable distance between themselves and the white car but you perhaps didn’t expect him to be there and have merged back in too close which caused them to pull into the breakdown lane. But obviously they shouldn’t have passed you on the shoulder

The white car and Cammer were blocking the Passing Lane from the overtaking vehicle. When the Cammer moved right to pass, the overtaking vehicle was accelerating to overtake. The Cammer then pulled into the lane already occupied by the overtaking car. The Cammer was reckless.
That would be true in a country that drives on the right but this video is from Australia 🇦🇺 they drive on the left, try watching it in a mirror if you drive on the right.
Hey Max & John 😁 and anyone reading this: the link in this video takes you to the 2 minute video. Much clearer story of what happened. When I cut the longer video to make this short it narrowed the view so you can't see the traffic going the other way...

Not contesting your likely position on this matter but with respect it looks like one of those situations wherein we would/I would need to view what happened over the previous 20 minutes in order to make a more reasonable comment. And also shows traffic in the other direction so we know we're not in the US. This was a very short section of 100 km speed limit (60 mile an hour?). 2 minutes from the front camera and 2 minutes from the rear camera condensed. Please have a look at the longer video and tell me what you think 😁
@@gdvdigital6534 Cheers. Again I'd like to have seen some 20 minutes of what had (or had not) been going on. What comes to mind for one thing is the possibility that he may have been delving out a sort of punishment say in the case that you were lingering in the passing lane. In the case that you weren't doing this, or some other annoying behaviour previously I would side with you and add that he was definitely driving in an odd and of course annoying way. There is no way you deserved this. But alas A/Hs on the roads these days abound, god help us all.

(Assuming the country this is from isn't England or any other that drives on the right side of the car) Left lanes are for overtaking, so when you passed you should have stayed right. Although, that other driver could have waited two seconds more before overtaking doing a right-left swerve. driving should be responsible!
Australia, right hand drive,by the sign post the F4 motorway near Penrith New South Wales. So no left lanes aren’t for overtaking.

The dashcam vehicle didn't need to go back into the passing lane. I would call it wreckless for not checking your mirrors before switching lanes instead of calling out someone else for wreckless driving.
Do you even have your driver license that other car is definitely at fault they didnt even use their blinkers how would the driver know
@GTRJohn The car behind was obviously speeding and acted very aggressively when he overtook. He was too close too! Lets look at it this way. What would the law think? Can you see it from their point of view? Too many idiots think they're bullet proof when in a car. To clarify. This road is in Australia. We drive on the left. The road was a short section of freeway with a 100 kilometre an hour speed limit (62 mph).
Anyone who uses "wreckless" (twice), rather than the correct "reckless", is guilty of wrecking proper spelling and grammar. I recommend you go back to school, to improve both your language skills and driver education.

Hi Samuel. I watched this storm approach on the radar and it was a very narrow band. But it passed directly over Camden. And I got a good view across the fields while under shelter. I have watched some of your videos and subscribed to you!
