  This was the Duke Invitational Tournament. NOBODY thought any team could keep up with Duke. Give credit across the board. UCONN had a great game plan and was able to exert its will on Duke when no one else could.

  Kentucky was so stacked in the 96 and 97 seasons. Derek Anderson had a season-ending injury early in the year but they still got within the cusp of a second straight championship. The 97 was still good. But the 96 team was so outrageously unfair. In 96, they had a ton of future NBA players who were at the end of the bench. The entire team was filled with NBA players.

  My childhood friends Dad is still angry about his favorite coffee table that got absolutely disintegrated by 8 lifelong Uconn fans highly intoxicated going batshit craZy after that last play, just a incredibly impressive performance by so many Uconn players in this game, I was just thinking watching this game so close and then how last year’s Uconn team won every tournament game by double digits
