Out of interest, why did you give up the airgun market ?
It did not pay, too much copying of parts by other tuners, couriers making it very difficult to ship anything "gun" related, web hosting companies not wanting to host anything "gun" related etc. Some customers thinking that because their airgun had been tuned it would make them a better shot, did not help either lol.
Hi Nice to see you still around and doing ok You tuned my R10 it was in the last batch you did before shutting up shop. Ive still got it has had the normal seal changes and it's still going strong . All the best .
Good to hear Wayne. All the best D
I have the GVS Shadow, very happy with it, I use it at three storey gutters👍
They are pretty handy.
Looks like a good bit of kit..
Gutters are a nightmare to clean, but this machine you have seems to do a great job of cleaning them. Well done and any chance you could pop round and do mine? LOL Take care and stay safe, Joe
Thanks 👍
I would call that a 'success' Darrin, even doing it by hand it's a tricky undertaking .. 👍 The rain should clear out the remaining little bits .. 😉..😅 atvb t ..
Thanks Terry, I hope you are well,
I have BSA R10SE high Power.I want to lower the power to sub 12ftlbs can they be done without changing the regulator
That end does not come off that easy so this BS. That cap has been off previously. I've heated it and even hit the Stanley blade with a hammer to drive it in. Not a bloody chance. Instead of making this easy to video why don't you show the difficulties encountered as in REAL life.
Thanks for reminding me why I stopped making free videos and guides to help people.
The rule 'any available commercial pellet' changed quite a while ago. Judges ruled your gun can only be tested using the pellets the user had with them at the time. It was ruled absolutely impractical to stick to the law as laid down. Commonsense actually prevailed.
Thanks for the update. I have been out of the airgun scene for a few years.
You're doing a review aren't you? If you're interested in seeing what happens when you drop it, then drop it and let us see.😅
Thank you for your help 🙏 with air gun videos, your videos help so many people and helped me much, good luck with your new direction wish you all the best
Neff require a minimum 40mm space on either side of the plate. Is this just for pan handle space? I ask as our units have an extra thick section for installing a hob but it’s the same width as the proposed new Neff induction hob. There is space at either side but it’s lower than the thick section. I emailed Neff but got no reply.
Can you do a bsa r12 video
Darrin, is that proper paint, or the water based shit?
Water based
@@xtxltd Suprising, it seems to cover very well.
Maybe send it back. It doesn't looks like it's that hard to get the bits out in the other videos I've seen. (Update just got mine and it's so easy to take them in and out. If you're pulling the bits straight up. Not out and up. And even if you don't put them all the way in. The magnet will close it anyway.)
Hopefully they have tweaked the tolerances, mine was not good. I lost it within a week of owning it, which solved the problem lol
Good stuff Darrin. Could you sneak the odd airgun episode in, if you ever get the time? Thanks Pete..
It’s a shame you’re not doing the Rifle videos anymore I learnt such a lot from them but love your other work to maybe one day you’ll start doing the Rifle videos 👍👍
It’s a shame you’re not doing the Rifle videos anymore as they was brilliant and I learnt a lot from them and maybe one day you’ll bring them back but love your other work too 👍
Looks like Wiha got the hang of charging a premium price, just not the making of a premium tool.
Got mine for 35$ for a set of 4 screwdriver in a compact format. For 1000v there's not really any other alternatives. Wera makes on but that's way bigger. I like mine a lot. And don't have any off the problems he mentions in the video.
Hopefully they tweaked the tolerances to make them more user friendly, mine was terrible.
Very helpful video, thank you. I’ll be doing this job later today
Sadly , the pocket max isn’t out in North America yet ! Do want !
I got one 2 months ago. It gets used daily as the "pocket driver. Pull the bits out from the thick end! It's much easier. Bits are not Pozi, BUt Philips! Also, annoyingly, all the other,Wiha bits are too long to fit in handle, a bit annoying BUT it is well, worth it
From bsa r10 regulator to mud flap installations. What do you do for a living now
I am back to doing home improvements and electrical work.
@@xtxltd I needed you to be doing r10 regs. But thanks for the videos I managed to fit mine and fac transfer port following your videos. Good work
Nice clean job! Always interesting to see these DIY projects… Thanks for sharing it with us!
Good stuff Darrin. You spotted 3 more meteors than I did in Essex. It was pleasant sitting in the garden gazing at the sky, and slurping a bottle of wine though..
My Electrical teacher in college made himself one of those with conduit for the handle and axle and a cylinder from a former cooking oil vat from the canteen. Filled it full of cement and bobs your aunty!
I only see one idiot 🤷♂️🤣
A good job well done. But for anyone in the UK (and likely Europe) at the moment it is not, IMO, a good idea. If on a gas supply there will be no energy outages this winter, but leccy could be restricted at times. Any gas outage would require all affected properties to be checked, on re-connection, to avoid any disasters, so a ‘gas black-out’ is very unlikely. Apart from the above, thermal energy (gas) is far, far less expensive than electricity. Both are spiralling in cost at the moment, but even if gas usage on the hob was only 50% efficient (it is much better than that, I believe) it will still be less than half the cost of doing the same job with an induction hob (that also has efficiency issues over even a halogen powered hob?). At the present time gas costs less than a quarter of the same amount of electricity during the day-time.
Gas is way more expensive than electricity where I live.
Thanks for the truly honest assessment, I had watched delboys garage big this stuff up but thought he was paid to say how good the stuff was, tbh the blood made my mind up!!
Love it. That work surface should have an air rifle on it, and one of those screwdrivers should have a 'Pokey' thing. 😊
Miss you work on the airguns 👍
Good luck with your new venture. I know you have closed your air gun store. Just wondering if you had a spare air arms s200 reservoir removal nut that you could sell?
Just wanted to say thank you for the air gun videos, they were an immense help for me when I had issues with my R10 - glad to see you're okay and look forward to some good old sparky content :)
Just a big thank you for your BSA videos.

Unfortunately not, I left the airgun industry a few years ago.
