This is an absolute masterpiece, a peak of cinema in all its forms, I mean I get why people would dislike it but David Lynch choose this typical story about a choosen one but with a big plot twist, where this heroic character its brought to the mud and dirt by this evil forces around this universe, he gave us a deeply disturbed human being in the middle of this eternal fight of good and evil and reduce her to the very level of all mankind, making her go through a journey of a desperate will to achieve absolution, which was given to her in this very end, The Return gave us a different kind of Laura Palmer, one who was saved by Cooper and was in this eternal loop of a hero who fails, but FWWM I think its the perfect ending for a character as big as Laura Palmer, mention apart Sheryl Lee, she gave one of the most epic performances in such a young age, everything in Twin Peaks universe is worth of recognition and admiration.

This scene feels especially heartbreaking after the finale of Season 3. SPOILER ALERT Just comparing this scene to the finale of Season 3 says a lot. Here, we see pure hope, bliss, acceptance and peace. Laura found her angel and knows that all is behind. There is actually a theory that she is not 'at peace', but gains the awareness that she is in the TV show and laughs out of irony, but I cannot see it like this. Cooper is by her side, offering support and ending his investigation. He went through a lot to not only capture the killer, but he also was able to be with Laura in the very end and oversee the end of her suffering. This feels like a complete ending and good a good one. Of course, there is still the matter with the doppelganger and escaping the Black Lodge, but the Laura story ends here, and Twin Peaks IS Laura's story before everything. Season 3 ending feels wrong. Like something went horribly wrong. Carrie Page seems empty and soulless, letting out a horrifying scream of agony (some people interpret this as a scream of awakening, which destroys Judy at the end, but again, THAT scene did not look like a good ending any way you look at it). Cooper is confused, lost and seems even regretful. Like the sudden realisation that he has done something wrong. Laura got her resolution, got her peace, but Cooper couldn't just let her go. It feels like Laura was ripped back to the world of suffering and emptiness, maybe something even worse happened after that scream. Perhaps we are at fault for this, for wanting "Twin Peaks" and Laura back.

Psy 2 zostały nakręcone głównie ze względów komercyjnych - dla wyniku ekonomicznego. Tymczasem wyszedł absolutnie jeden z najlepiej zrobionych polskich filmów, który stał się legendą właściwie jeszcze "za swojego życia". Duet Linda/Pazura w obydwóch częściach to jest majstersztyk. To są genialni aktorzy. Mam nadzieję, że millenialsi obejrzą kiedyś ten film i zobaczą jak kiedyś wyglądało polskie dobre kino akcji.

At 3:51 a piano riff takes root, a simple 8-note progression. 10 seconds later the violin joins in, and I wish I had the articulation skills to put in words how that makes me feel. It feels like I'm falling thru space indefinitely but it's not a sinking feeling, just free fall. The first time I heard it I was caught in my tracks, the song had come alive. Orchestral post-rock is a surreal out-worldly experience.

legitimately the best scene in Lynch's filmography and probably top ten scenes of all time. takes two seasons of television to hit as hard as it does but when it has that build up it gets you like a shark.
