Why do you always put tiles like the phone tile or red envelope tile onto the minifigs hands, rather than actually have them clipped between their fingers? It's a lot easier to do and more secure (I would post a photo to demonstrate what I mean but obviously the Evil OoToob does not allow such things) Ethan and Jazzy's shirts with the dragon version of the Lego Space logo are super. However, Patrice the Bumhole Dragon is clearly far better than both of them. Point of order though, that's surely an entire bum rather than a bumhole. It just (presumably) contains a bumhole. As ever with these Lunar New Years sets this one is an absolute delight. I can well see why people have bought two and made them into a complete modular build though because it's definitely on a par with some of the full size modulars and even better than a few of them.

I bet minifig Morgan is the kind of person that not only sings show tunes at the drop of a hat but sings things like "la Vie Boheme" from Rent so that he can sing *all* the roles in one go. Did that gold bar from yesterday actually end up being spare? I have seen parts like that as niblets but usually on much larger sets so it seems a surprise to have it spare here, especially with that spare 1x1 brick as well. Maybe it's just a set where Lego decided to be extra generous.

Something happened on Thursday? Did it? I can't say I noticed. *such a huge sigh of relief* I have just new got new glasses and have finally had to get reading glasses, so now I appreciate the whole "I've got the wrong glasses on" kerfuffle. Mind you, my reading glasses are designed by the actual Kylie Minogue and have sparkles all along the top in a glam librarian style, so I bet my wrong glasses are better than yours. In the defence of the Ombudsgoose I don't remember the loop coaster being demonstrated either. I remember a lot of us having a ride on the first coaster, but not the new one. I'm slightly disappointed you didn't take me up on the suggestion that you should do a build in the morning on Friday. It would have been *hilarious*.

"There can be no further complaints..." oh ho, how presumptuous of you. I assure you I will be able to find something to complain about. Regarding the 1x1 brick by the fish tank, I don't disagree that there's something odd going on there, I just said that on past experience you vehemently claiming a mistake on the part of Lego usually just means you have made a screamingly obvious error and are shortly to be proven wrong. There certainly shouldn't be a brick like that left over though and it certainly looks like it makes far more sense it going where you've put it, but I did also very much enjoy you chuntering away about how right you were and then have the roof crumble in your hands. Serves you right. I love how much we've got going on on the outside of this build. It's pretty usual that the pavement area of Lego buildings is a little sparse at the best of times so all the goings on here is a delight.

Family Drama, the prequel. The reason my sister Jeanie just became estranged from most of us is because my mom tried to set up legal papers that we all had to sign. Those papers would save us all a lot of taxes when that dreaded day comes that we have to say goodbye to my mother and inherit anything from her. Jeanie, the estranged sister, who was already on the outs with most of us because of her constant lies about us and relating to money, would not sign the papers until my Mom would sign a document from Jeanie's attorney promising Mom would not write her out of the will. During all this legal paper drama, I found out from two other sisters that 20 years ago, when my mom remodeled part of her house, Jeanie actually said to my sisters, "Why is Mom spending all of our inheritance money on remodeling?" I was furious when I heard this. Jeanie has only cared about her personal financial bottom line above all else. No surprise, she's also the only Republican in the family. My mom signed Jeanie's paper only because she wanted to be over and done with all of it. She NEVER would have written Jeanie out in the first place. This is why the youngest in the family, my brother James, is the only one still talking to Jeanie, because he tries to play peacemaker. The rest of us have cut off communications with Jeanie.

The gap in the bricks on the corner next to the door that's being caused by the fish tank window being on the wonk and stressing the bricks around it says otherwise when you claim it's fine. Checking the online instructions you have absolutely 100% definitely built it wrong in a way that's going to damage the bricks over time. But you have made the decision that you know better than the Lego designers and are willing to risk the wrath of the Lego gods and so be it on your rapidly greying head Knuckles, so be it. Also, looking at all the pictures of the set on the Lego website that 1x1 brick that you put next to the fish tank is definitely not supposed to be there. I grant you does look odd because it means the wall is bigger on one side than the other, but either it's a mistake in the book that's then being followed through on in all the marketing shots or it's a mistake on your part and the whole build will come crashing down because you missed a vital piece (and built the fish tank on the wonk).

Family Drama #2. Not a big one, but my brother's wedding was in the backyard of my sister Lisa's house. She lives just around the corner a block and a half from my mother. The wedding was at 7pm and I took my mom back home around 11pm so we could go to sleep. Found out from my sister Lisa that my brother and his new husband (they've actually been together 22 years, but are finally legal) stayed in my sister's backyard with some of their friends around the fire pit until 4:30 in the morning. My sister's husband had to stay awake in the house to make sure all got locked up when they finally left (my brother and his husband were also staying at my mother's house). Needless to say, Lisa and her husband Jon were NOT happy about having to be up all night, especially after the courtesy of offering their yard for the wedding in the first place.

Spacebaby, Spacebaby, SPACEBABY! Spacebaby's robot nanny is also terrific. I love Lisa's hair. Someone has spent a very long time making it quite as extra as that. Pretty sure that's a red envelope that she has in her hand. We've had them before but they're given at Lunar New Year with money in as gifts. I find as I get older the thing that always gets me is the assumption that everyone is roughly the same age as you (give or take five years) and then it turns out people who are actual adults have the gall to be twenty years younger than you. Or, in your case, *thirty* years younger. Don't worry about putting me with the prostitutes. It's proving *very* educational in areas that I have never had felt the need to explore before. Is the glass on the fish tank actually meant to be on the wonk like that? I don't like the way that it's not fully clipped on at the bottom if it is. I pretty sure you have made a mistake there Knuckles. I think the two windscreen pieces should be attached either end of the plates on top, not one of them one stud in.

I'm sure I mentioned way back that I am reading 'Shoes for Anthony?' I'm enjoying it so much that as I near the end, I'm finding myself reading in slo-mo to eke it out as much as possible! 😂 Can I ask you about the... I'm not sure what they call it.. the bit of blurb on the front designed to entice you to read between the covers? It's a corker... I can't ever read it without saying it out loud in a futile attempt at one of those Hollywood Blockbuster, deep, throaty voiceovers... 'War is a BIG adventure...until it lands on your doorstep!' (Cue Prof. Lego voice over - he said deep, throaty!') My question is... as the author is that your responsibility as well, or is that where the promotionals takes over and do you have a say in that, I wonder?

Family drama #1. Buckle up - long one. We have an estranged sister. She's one year older than me. She now only communicates with the youngest in our family (my brother James) who always tries to play peacemaker. We've called Jeanie "the bookkeeper" in our family because she was always complaining about something anyone else got that she didn't get. For example, "Mom, you gave her kids such-and-such, why didn't my kids get the same thing?" She's always been very petty about money and gifts. Several years ago, my mother told Jeanie to "go spend time with your other family" (meaning Jeanie's husband's family). She was not told about nor invited to the wedding. Luckily she did not find out about it and show up anyway. But just before the wedding, Jeanie posted to Facebook that she had "decided to honor my father" by having his headstone polished. Dad passed away in 1995. The headstone isn't her property and my mom's name is also on the headstone since she plans to be buried next to him when it's time. Jeanie also "had the cemetery drill a hole next to Dad's name so I can place an American flag to honor him on Memorial Day." So another sister (Lisa, Lexi's mom) took a screenshot of what Jeanie had done and talked to the cemetery. Turns out the cemetery does not allow drilling of holes in the cement around headstones because it can crack the cement and ruin the headstones, especially if it rains. The cemetery believes that an employee is secretly drilling holes for families that request it if the family will pay him cash on the sly. Said employee also probably polished the headstone, which is not allowed to be done unless it is authorized by the person who owns the headstone - in other words my mom. They said my sister Jeanie would be responsible if that happened - unless she told the cemetery management who had done it for her. So the cemetery sent a letter to Jeanie the day after my brother's wedding telling her about the situation. My sister Jeanie showed up the very next day and demanded to see a manager at the cemetery, claiming that she did not have the hole drilled in the cement, that it was already there in the first place. But of course we have the picture with her own words as proof. So she has been told that if the cement cracks, she is responsible unless she comes forth with a name. My sister left without giving a name. Waiting to hear from Lisa if there's any further updates.

Marvin's chef coat is rather lovely. Also that style of Lego chef's hat is one of the oldest minifig accessories, going all the way back to 1979 (not sure it's even changed since then). Just to be uncharacteristically serious for a second, AI being used to "create" art or music or writing is nothing but massively wasteful, environmentally damaging theft of the work of other creators being used to completely undermine and devalue actual art. Just please don't. As in if we start getting AI here on RWB it's a red line for me. I don't think the green/teal Doodah issue is a mistake on the part of Lego, I think it's just slightly less than perfect colour reproduction in the holy book. The original green Doodah is a slightly different design and a lot bigger. We have seen the turntable as an oven hob before, in Ninjago City Markets. It's only a single one rather than thee double one here, but it's the same piece usage.

Ooh, thrilled for this set. It looks beautiful and I've seen some lovely MOCs of it with two sets used to complete a full building. Flo is immediately infuriating. She is clearly the kind of influencer who emails people demanding free stuff in exchange for "exposure" and has screaming tantrums when people tell her to get knotted. I think that's a dim sum or bao bun cart rather than a poo soup cart. Although I thought there was an actual bao bun brick so maybe it is just poo soup after all. Exsqueeze me, I didn't linger in "department stores fingering plastic objects", I lingered in *Lego Stores* fingering plastic objects. But yes, the challenge of finding the CMF you want just isn't the same if the shop has already identified what everything is. Plus if they're all doing that then Lego may as well just show which CMF is in the box on the packaging rather than pretending it's a secret. A+ new hair. My old hair is also super though if anyone wants elf ears and a fabulous head of hair. I have seen some big Lego villages with raised train tracks, so I bet there are videos out there showing how people did them. I suspect the issue is working out how strong the supports need to be without them being too thick and dominating the village

That CMF is Blacktron (a classics Lego Space range) but they were pretty much all just regular spacemen so I'm not sure why he's mutated or halfway through transformation or something. He's rather good though. Yes, you have sent me a birthday minifig. He had a Flego head though... Can I have some new birthday hair though? I like the pink and blue helmet (I said helmet) with ponytail that the retro space girl in the current CMF set has and I know you have duplicates so one of those would be appreciated thankyouplease I don't have my nails done actually, but that's because I had them done for combined Salford Pride and birthday night out at the weekend so they have now been taken back to natural. No Lego AGM for me I'm afraid. It's a very long journey but mostly family stuff gets in the way for the time being.

I'd love to know what the sales figures on the last two CMF series have been compared to the previous ones. I fully understand why Lego has moved to the card packaging rather than the plastic bags but the fact it's significantly harder to find figures you're after must have impacted the sales somewhat. It's a while since I've turned into Professor Lego halfway through a sentence. Yes, very sure I'm OK not being in the draw. I know I definitely don't have room for it (similar to the Milky Way set which I think is lovely but too big for me and probably a terrible build for RWB). I understand why they've done the numbers here as stickers but even if I try and ignore my usual hatred of stickers these are just a step too far and would mean I wouldn't even think about buying this set. Or I'd just write them on the brick with a Sharpie and be done with it. Kudos to you for doing them without losing your tiny little mind.

CMF has normal face and tiny alien face because he's actually an android being driven by said tiny alien. Sticker 26 is Detective Renee Montoya, an original creation for B:TAS but like Harley Quinn she crossed over into the mainstream comics and became a huge character in her own right, eventually becoming the hero The Question. She is also (in the comics at least, if not B:TAS) also a lesbian and a love interest of Batwoman (Kate Kane) Sticker 27 is Detective Harvey Bullock. He's appeared on and off in Batman comics since the mid-70s and is somewhere between the corrupt cops and the good cops (like Montoya and Gordon) Sticker 28 is Commissioner Gordon (although I think he might be Captain Gordon at the start of B:TAS). He actually appears in the first panel of the Detective Comics #39, the very first Batman story, so he's the oldest Batman supporting character. Father (adoptive father, technically) of Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl. I love that tiny Bat Signal on the roof of the police station, a really perfect bit of design on a set that's chock full of perfect design. The closest thing I've got to a critique is the slightly misaligned sign on the fairground entrance, but that barely even counts.
