My Name is Jon, I am an Overland enthusiast and this Channel is all about exploring Gods magnificent creations in my Jeep and getting a bit dirty doing it. My love for the outdoors inspired me to start building an Off-road capable 2015 Grand Cherokee and it’s been a blast every step of the way. I hope all that stumble upon my channel enjoy the show.

I have a jeep grand Cherokee overland and I want those tires!!! What type of tires are those and size if you don’t mind me asking!?!?!?

That’s what I thought. Thanks!

Thank you. Will do
😂 Lol, now I know why you were interested in which "rock sliders" I ordered a few days ago when we were talking. I'm the "should have bought a Yota" guy. If you remember I told you I went with some cheap ones from the Amazon just to provide some light armor for now. Well they turned out to be complete BS on the armor part! They are nothing more than glorified side steps made to look like sliders! 😂 I can't believe they have the audacity to put Armor in their name! Now don't get me wrong, they look absolutely great, but they couldn't protect a thing, and take up several inches of clearance because of how they mount. So if you do decide to do a give away I will definitely enter it because my idea didn't work out very well at all. 😂
@@JesseCase lol. I remember! How’s it going? Yea armor is just something you have to pay for. It’s either good for something or good for nothing. Haha
Great episode! Great family! Exploring God's creations!👍
Thank you
My overland has the quadralift, will those size tires and rims fit on mine? Do you happen to know the biggest size I can get to make her look aggressive like yours?
@@tjmiller41309 I believe the Quadra lift only raises up 2.6”. You could fit these but you’ll need to do the pinch weld and you’ll still probably get a little rub in the front. I had to lift mine to 3” to get zero rub. In this video I was only at 2.5”. I’m running 275/70 18. 33”. If you want zero issues as is, you could go to a 275/65 which is a 32”
I'd like to do stuff like this with my gc but I'm too afraid of scratching it all up and denting things and breaking things lol
@@simcptmike yea that’s unfortunately a part of the game. So far I’ve only gotten a few pinstripes that have been able to be buffed out and I’ve only got one dent from my buddy pushing my fender with his hands haha
there is a perfectly paved path, whey get your jeep off in all that dirty muddy water? must enjoy cleaning is all I have to think
@@youtubestudio2081 haha if there is a paved road and you see me go straight for the muddy water then yes! Your assumption is correct. I love getting it dirty, I love cleaning it, I like breaking it and I love fixing it. Otherwise I would just put low pro tires on and take pics in the parking lot. I feel like if there is a puddle along side a gravel road you can’t not test the waters. Othwise why be out there?

Did you connect power cables to under-hood posts or direct to under-seat battery?
@@ORJeeper I connected them under the hood and added a cutoff switch
I have a Summit with Quadralift and AirLinks which allows me to set my normal ride height to OR1, and I'm wondering if the RRO upper control arms would benefit me at all? I have the suspension links dialed in pretty well at this point, but when I run over larger potholes or ruts, the suspension bottoms out. I think it's the shocks that take the brunt of it. Do you think these UCAs would provide any additional clearance for an air suspension equipped GC? Thanks!
They don’t really add clearance. Aftermarket UCAs are stronger and can take more abuse and allows you to reach better alignment specs for a vehicle that is lifted above stock because stock UCAs are only meant for stock height. Your UCAs that you have should be able to handle any height your Quadra lift allows for but it could benefit you as far as being stronger for trail abuse

Wow
1. rocky road upper control arms 2. white light light bar instead of amber lighting 3. offroad animal slim rock rails

Stay away from Chief armor. My sliders are collapsed after only 6 months. I got them because i believe the fanboy hype and the fact i could get them quick. I now have a set of Rocky Road Super Sliders waiting for install. Thats my only regret as the RRO sliders are almost 1/3 the price, but actually offer protection. Chief's engineers actually told me i should be more "gentle" with their sliders 😂😂....A review is coming soon...
@@FearlessTrailhawk I have been hearing this from multiple sources. Makes me wonder about there roof rack
@@GrandExploration They use expensive super thin steel to save weight, i don't have their bumper or skids, but have seen their bumper bars fold on some trivial impacts....and bent back into place....BY HAND...😬 I can't speak to their roof rack, as it doesn't take those kinds of impacts and pressure...unless you turn the greasy side up...lol...but just be wary i guess.
Thx. I'm recently bought a jgc 5.7 and I want to make it some mods. I'm gonna start with the lightning. Greetings from Colombia parcero 🇨🇴
Nice!!! Thanks for watching. Happy building to ya
Should have bought a Yota!!!
I love Toyotas
@@GrandExploration My man!! 👍 You know what's funny, though I am a hardcore Yota guy, I actually just bought a 2018 WK2 Limited about a week and a half ago 😂! I can't lie, it is quite nice and super luxurious!
@@JesseCase. Haha The wk2 wasn’t my first choice. I didn’t go out looking to make mine an off-road rig but it ended up being a cool niche and I’ve built it to do a lot. Even more since this video. And I do love it. I have surprised a lot of yota and Jeep guys
@@GrandExploration They definitely are far more capable than some people want to give them credit for. I've already started building on mine. My rock sliders are supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I definitely plan to get the most out of it and take it out to play and camp. Plus I needed something that was capable of towing and a Grand Cherokee will handle the type of stuff I'll be towing with no problem.
@@JesseCase what rock sliders did you go with?
What exhaust setup do you have? Sounds nice!
Thanks. Actually all that was done was I cut off the big muffler in the rear. I only did it because I cut my bumper for clearance leaving the muffler exposed so I chopped it off
You should do a giveaway of the cubes when you flip your current set. Also, come down south to Southern Nevada. Tomorrow we are hitting Rocky Gap with a WK2
@@charlesdrew8330 that sounds awesome! I might give the pods away. You might not want them tho. They are all scratched up
2” o 2,5”??
This was the install of the doninsons 2.5” lift
Have you looked into Morimoto for off-road lighting? I haven’t used them myself, but from videos I’ve seen, they seem to be the best out there (though also the most expensive). Also, is it possible to buy amber lens for your lights? Not sure if that works, but I’ve seen some pods that come with interchangeable lenses, so maybe? Thanks for the content. Wishing the best for your dad!
Yes! I really want the morimoto headlights but they are a pretty penny. I have some amber covers for my pods but it’s just not the same. Better than nothing but not true amber to cut through dust etc. 🙏 thank you
Aftermarket wk2 parts are extremely limited especially in Canada I wheel with JK guys so I've pushed my wk2 farther then I ever thought possible with this platform but not without damage. I made myself rock sliders and skid plates I'm still working on a total flat belly for sliding over larger rocks because I get hung up pretty often wheeling with JK's. Thses things hang the gas tanks so low I'm always worried I'm going to poke a hole in them so I've plated them. I'm still on factory upper arms but get a little coil rub at full droop and my alignment is not exactly where I would want for on road use but on the trails it's fine I'm probably going to get the JBA upper arms soon.
I’m definitely looking at the JBA. Only problem is you have to use their ball joints so if they stop making them or go out of biz. Your screwed. And yes a set of gas tank skids would be nice for sure
JCR rock rails….
JBA...
Six monkeys is the way to go for rock rail/sliders. Had mine for about 2 years and absolutely love them. They are solid, and you won't regret the purchase. Bonus is Dan will customize them for you however you want.
I told Dan to add a kicker to it haha
@@GrandExploration kickers just add a catch point, and "solve" problem that doesn't exist with just the regular "step" (wide) sliders. I've seen more than enough people get hung up on the kicker when if they'd had just the wides without kicker, they'd gone right through/over.
@@FearlessTrailhawk noted. Thank you! 🙏
Maaan, this was great. The first hill would have been good to round up the jeeps in a circle pointing out, do a drone flight from the bottom as all of he headlight come on, on each jeep and go around them on the hill. Great shot. Looked like perfect place to camp out. Do you have any good recommendations for 2WD Overland trails?
Appreciate that and yes, that would have been a great shot. What area are you looking for trails in? Do you use an off-road mapping app like OnX off-road? That’s literally where I find my trails and it shows you the difficulty level and what vehicles you can use to get thru.
